another square finished. That's 25/36 and I have finally got round to setting up a flickr account so piccies will be up soon of the 7 different designs so far :D running out of squares so although all designs hitherto have been 4 each will now shift to 2 of each. I have had so much fun knitting this blanket and can heartily recommend it to anyone with a stash of DK to get through

florenceem - I hadn't noticed you liked pressing at all :p Thank you for telling me though, they are beautiful, something I may consider for my mum and MIL.

I have been quite busy so not had chance to do much. Hoping I should have a little more time this Fri/Sat to sit and do a bit more.

I had a sewing teacher at senior school - always impressed on her pupils - press press press. She was so right - everything looks so much better when pressed. I think of this teacher often.
The teacher who taught me to sew & knit at junior school is another one who I think about when I am crafting. I loved sewing the moment I started - my Mum hated sewing as did her Mum.

Sorry I've not been around, real life is getting in the way of crafting :rotfl: I'll try and catch up on the thread & Flickr group at the weekend. Managed to finish the crochet hook holder last night so that's another crossed off the list. Also found out that I'm getting a niece in August so that's jumbled my list up as there are plenty of cute little pink things that I NEED to make for her :rotfl:

    Updated list - 4/14 complete & 2 WIP
    1) Granny Square cushion - Squares completed, still need to stitch them together, and then work out what to do for the back of the cushion.
    2) [STRIKE]Beanie hat for my friend[/STRIKE] Complete
    3) [STRIKE]Repair the patchwork quilt my mum made for me almost 30 years ago[/STRIKE] Complete
    4) [STRIKE]Do something with the cowl scarf that went wrong[/STRIKE] Complete - turned it into a braided headband
    5) [STRIKE]Crochet hook holder[/STRIKE] Complete
    6) Booties & Changeable Flower Hat for my new niece
    7) Felted Art piece for Mother's Day - WIP, have wet felted the background, need to needle felt & embroider the detail. Won't be complete until 7th April as it's a 3 week course, but sure mum will understand
    8) Turtle for my nephew (deadline is his 2nd birthday in July)
    9) Rabbit Blankie for my new niece due in August
    10) Wild Roses crochet blanket
    11) Learn to use a sewing machine
    12) Cabbage Patch Doll hair hat (joke present for bald friend's 30th)
    13) Finish the green UFO that is in the bottom of my wool basket
    14) Crochet reindeer tree ornaments for SIL

Other projects that I would like to do this year:
    Cowl Scarf
    Boot Cuffs
    Lace Crochet Clutch Bag
Mobile of crochet creatures - I've done a bumble bee, but would like to add a ladybird, butterfly, bird... etc. This is going to be one for my baby if I'm ever lucky enough to be a mum, so it's staying at the bottom of the list for now :o
