    Hi all

Not quite sure where March has gone. Seems to have gone by in a flash. A little bit of crafting from me this month which I have added to the Flickr pages. List now looks like this:
    Updated list 4/14 completed

    1. Thank you cards - changed to 6 general purpose cards – done 19/1/14
    2. Finish Stargazer Lily picture
    3. Finish 'Let's do wine' - yep it's still around!!
    4. Penguin doorstop
    5. Gruffalo - for DS2
    6. Birthday card for niece – done 08/02/14
    7. Ballet Bear – done 02/02/14
    8. Mother's day cards x 2 and notebook for DH mum. Done 16/3/14
    9. misc cards to use up terracotta pots
    10.
    11.
    12.
    13.
    14.

I am doing the misc cards now as I want to get rid of the terracotta pots. Then I must do one of my two UFO before I get distracted by anything else. Looking forward to the Easter hols when I hope to attack at least one of them.

Loving all the beautiful makes on here and on flickr. I keep looking and thinking 'oooh I fancy doing one of those' but I have so much to do already with cross stitch I dare not take on any more hobbies. Maybe once DS2 is a bit older I may get some time to expand my areas of interest.

    Hello everyone

Made a start to my wee book of stitches and what else do I start with but CROSS STITCH.

I have made a single one, a row of stitches in large size - using green as the first stitch and light pink as the second stitch. Then I done a complete stitch with all dark pink. I have also done them in single strand to show them off better. Then I done some in normal sizes using the same colour system - picture shows it better than I can explain it.

I have also been working away on my learning sampler. Looking forward to pay day as I am going to buy my materials for the twisted band sampler I am doing in memory of mum - can't decide if I do it in 28 or 32 or even 36 hpi.

Well off grocery shopping soon, keep well everyone.

    sweetcarer ;)

PS Greentiger - you say you are close by how close?

Had a go at making pencil cases for presents today.
I have two young DGDs - these pencil cases will be for them. I still have another pencil case to make for my eldest DGD.

mrs-moneypenny, tigers are my favourite animals, so you were on a winner with me right away! The cushion shows off your work beautifully.

Maisie M, maybe I'm asking a daft question - how do you make cards from terracotta pots?

sweetcarer - your stitch book is a clever idea. I'm in Banton, just on the other side of Kilsyth from you.

savvy, I love your seaglass jewellery. I love the feel of seaglass!
Ah many thanks greentiger, yeah same here - found a fantastic piece today. Kind of getting a bit obssessed with seaglass at the mo though!!
I apologise for all the pictures that are about to follow. This was on my 13 for 13 list, I finished the top in April last year and then for whatever reason it went in the cupboard and never got finished! but it is now and i'm very proud of myself ha ha ha. It's for my daughter and she loves it
That quilt is really nice, I wish I could make something as neat as that lol, but my sewing machine goes wonky (yes, yes, I know it's ME really and not the poor machine!).

So many beautiful things. I totally agree with the other poster florence equal numbers of tea towels to one and all.
I am still plodding my way through the blanket. Plod makes it sound like i'm not enjoying it and i am hugely. Onto the last k9 then 4 adipose, 4 seals of rasillon then 4 phrases (vote saxon, bad wolf, jelly baby? and i heart DW.) then all the sewing up!
