    Well done - it's lovely.

Can you add your photo to our Flickr group as well? It's very easy to do as you already have the photo on Flickr

I would really like to join in although I can't promise a whole lot as I am getting married this year - but I am planning on making all of the stationary myself so can I count that as one at least?

    Here we go:

    1. Wedding stationary including invitations for day and evening, RSVPs, information sheets, orders of service and activity booklets for the kids to keep them occupied
    2. Winnie the Pooh cross stitch - started out as a gift but the baby in question is now 5 (and won't appreciate it anymore) so aiming to have it ready for any of my own potential children..
    3. VW Campervan cross - started as a gift for DF in 2012 and never completed
    4. Christmas stockings for 2014 (all bits bought just need to make them now)
    5. Christmas gift sacks for 2014
    6. Coca Cola blind for kitchen
    7. Coca Cola clock
    8.
    9.
    10.
    11.
    12.
    13.
    14.

Still a long way to go but feeling optimistic! I will update when I decide what my other bits will be!

    Welcome to the group.

Of course wedding stationery counts - how exciting - can't wait to see your progress. I made some wedding invitations last year so I have an idea of what's involved.

In fact I would split up your wedding projects into at least 3 separate projects - the invitations and RSVPs as 1, the information sheets and orders of service and the activity booklets as the 3rd.
And you could split them even further if you wanted.
  • love the blanket and the little hat, where do you take/ send you prem makes? ive started taking mine to the local maternity unit to save on postage.

bit of a lazy morning, i had a play with a free site that converts text into cross or backstitch for you so i charted this out and am going to turn it into a wall hanging for 'my' teacher and her class. might do another for DS2s school.
had to over stitch the last row as i did it in green and gold but the green didnt really stand out so the most prominent line was "No one can help you" ive gone over it in a darker green so im happier with it now.
if you click on the image to see the bigger photo then scroll back one youll see what i mean

Love this - you should count it as one of your completed projects for 2014 :)
  • I've updated the first page with the newbies and the progress to date. If I've missed anyone or got anything wrong shout out here and I will correct it.

Great progress being made and I love the photos in our group account
  • Love this - you should count it as one of your completed projects for 2014 :)

    I've been Money Tipped!
Sorry I have been missing from this thread (and crafting) as I've been so busy lately. But I have been reading up on everyone's progress on here and looking at the pics on Flickr. Fantastic makes everyone!

I have managed to mak one cushion cover this morning and hope to get another two done this afternoon, if I have the time.
They'll be no pictures as they're just plain red and I'm doing them purely to get a bit of practice in on the sewing machine. But if dh asks its to add a splash of colour to the sofa and armchair!

    1. amend hubby's backpack to fit lights DONE 2.1.14
    2. Sew 'stag' cushion for xmas
    3. Sew baubles cushion for xmas
    4. Sew noël cushion for xmas
    5. Knit scarf - I WILL complete this year
    6. Decorate ipad case DONE 3.1.14
    7. Decoupage some sort of jar or tub to use as a 'pound a day' pot (need to get on this sooner rather than later I guess)
    8. Make three cushion covers for sofa

Someone asked about memory boxes (Lynsey?)
My maternity hospital is donated memory boxes and the like from a charity called sands, I believe it is nationwide?
When I lost my daughter last year I asked if I could donate some disposable cameras for people in my situation and the midwife gave me the number for sands as they didn't accept donations other than from charities.
It could be just my hospital but it may be worth giving the maternity ward a ring first, rather than just turning up with things.

  • Carlamarie and lyndsey, SANDS are a nationwide charity, they have a facebook group and website if you would like to have a look. It's a wonderful charity and I did a fun run for them last year. They supported me when my son was still born and they are very close to my heart. They do memory boxes, it might be worth giving them a call if you want more information. Hope I'm not poking my nose in where it's not wanted, just wanted to pass on what I know.

    Lovely makes everyone.
