Nimbo- your list sounds very interesting and like your making great progress.
Elizabeth- love what you have made, the face is very cute I'm sure any little girl would love her. What are you going to do with the peacock feather now it's finished? I really love it

I hope everyone's projects are going well. I'm under strict orders to rest at the moment (I'm in hospital) but hoping to do a little sewing this weekend of a stocking, I really want to finish this one (I think I might be about half way through but the second half is very detailed and fiddly) and would like to start and finish one for my dad in time for Christmas Eve but we will have to wait and see if that happens.

Lots of love to you all

Thanks! The face was made into a GCSE congrats card for my niece. If I'm *really* lucky, I may even get a 'thank you' text for it....;)

I have no idea what to do with the peacock feather and am open to suggestions...

    Get well soon, Vikki!:)

Not sure of the size but it could look lovely on the top of a box/tin for storing "treasures". I could see it slightly raised by padding it and outlining it with cord - possibly metallic

    Hi Girls,

Sorry I have been MIA (again), but been very busy this week as I was in competition today. I took part in 12 baking categories and two handicraft. So every night this week I have been baking and not been able to do any stitching at all, so I am so behind with things.

So how did I do, not great, but I got

    2nd for tablet
    2nd for cherry cake
    1st for chocolate chip cookies
    and
    1st for cross stitch picture

So here is my wee rosettes

And here is my cross stitch picture

    111_1753_zpse10ddeea.jpg

It was done in the year 2000 and from cross stitch collection, it was saved from my house fire - still have to put it in a better frame.

Hope all are well, keep crafting girls

    sweetcarer ;)

Hi bargainfinder. I'm sure someone will be along soon to sort you out :)

One more birthday card done. Hunkydory is a great "go to". The kits seem to be never ending too!

This should be the last of August's cards. I have none planned for September, so I hope I'll get cracking on Christmas again.
