Hi everyone.
Yes Susan, it is too hot to do anything. Thanks for thinking about me re the money ideas site - and for letting us see the coffee table.
I'm finally getting my bed removed from the garage, waste clearance man arriving 8 am Thursday - so that can be my part of the challenge - sorting the whole garage is going to have to wait.
Thanks Mum2one for another fab to do list for us to work through. That's a great idea about the 2015 diaries.
Did Miss Hoodie feel any pain the day after the dentist? At least she didn't end up in casualty after the gel incident. Any more news about her allergies?
I can't believe how well you are all managing from your house so long. Hope you have a great time on your trip away. I wonder if you'll meet another admirer now the entertainer is off your list.
The fridge freezer (frost free) is playing up, the high temperature light is on and at one stage it all made a horrendous noise, like a helicopter. It normally does make strange noises but this was very loud. I switched it off at the wall for about 5 mins then back on, the noise is better then spent ages looking online for advice - but it's all different advice, try this and that. In the end I text exH he told me to switch it off for about 20 mins, I'll try that later when it gets cooler. He's picking DS2 up tomorrow so I'll get him to take a look.0 -
I've just look back through the posts to make sure I didn't miss reading any earlier on in the page and had to laugh when I saw one of mine where I wrote about the latest love affair which I ended.
Then I wrote 'nothing that person is going to say is going to make me change my mind.'
Guess who I am seeing at the weekend?0 -
Angela - You never know he may have changed over a new leaf!!
Shouldn't laugh but Miss hoodie has asked when she can have her next injection!! Touch wood her tablets seems to be doing the trick, we've had a couple of minor flare ups but touch wood no need to jab, we go back to see specialist in Sept, i'm guessing we're be left with trial and error as to do any more tests they'd run into 1000s of items, as she's had the main tests, nuts, fruit, fish - but we have no idea.
Family holiday up the coast, so nearest i'll get to romance will be dog keeping my feet warm in bed....
Was so funny in travel agents earlier seeing if I can get away next Easter, and the only reasonable costs .... Tunisia... every site the lady checked, Tunisia was coming at at 1 grand less than Egypt, Turkey, spain etc... Don't know whether thats fete or what, but was good and didn't book anything... (yet!!) xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
All the best angela do let us know how it goes
(though not all the detail lol) and as for mum2one and tunisia, well i'm feeling quite left out ;-)
House revamp going slowly but surely. Decided i would declutter 2014 items in what's left of 2014. Have done 20 so far. The tidy bits of the house are still tidy :T dug out flylady yesterday. Also went to the garden centre to buy some plants to fill my dug-out raised bed. Looks very beautiful now. Also bought 4 dahlias for the pots in the front garden. Scarlett so same colour as front door and very cheerful.
Like the july challenges though way behind. Oh hang on flylady sez i'm never behind :A

I like the sound of the declutter 2014 items, thou sure if I went in Miss Hoodies bedroom, get a good few bits there!!
The garden sounds like its going to look beautiful, any room in the suitcase for Friday....
On the being single side of things, in todays Sun theres a story of a lady of 50 who married a Tunisian guy of 21... they've been married 2 yrs, he can't get a Visa to the UK... and cut a long story short she's now 35k out of pocket....
Surely it would have set alarm bells off, ok I know its flattery, as seen them in progress, the perfect gentleman, the compliments so i can understand why she fell for him, maybe the attention, guess i must be synical. xxxx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Mum2one - don't think your cynical just cautious . We all hear of the ones that don't work. Not the ones that do work. Can't see there being that many in the grand scheme of things. But best of luck to all that does. £35k seems a lot of money though .
I want to goto Tunisia , OH looking at Malta. So good luck on the booking, seems very reasonable. With a great saving
Dundeedoll - I've decided after much thought, I want your job so come on hand it over!! Good luck on your decluttering.
I'm decluttering 2014 craft items ( embarrassed to say , I could probably do with doing more) I probably have done 2014 of all items , having taken 22 bags of clothes to charity shop and weigh ins and the shoes! Haven't finished yet. I'm of the opinion one day I'll move and best start now. Any money I make goes in a pot for OH big birthday. I'm planning on taking whole family :-) ... Think there was 11 last count. I have a few years to do it.
Angela - good luck with the date, you have to put 1 back on your decluttering . Hope the helicopter is ok, I don't like unplanned for bills.Challenge 2018 - Learn by heart the Book by Wayne Morgan on Amazon - Betfair Football Trading as it helps to supplement my small income :beer:0 -
susan42 it was you who inspired me to declutter 2014 things :-)
had a very strange experience beg of week. Dont know how manny of you believe in spiritualists (i didnt). My friend sees one she calls 'the spooky' monday i happened to go outside to sit with my friend while she had a smoke. Dont usually but it was very hot. I asked for no good reason if she 'd seen her spooky lately. She sed no she was trying to get an appointment but she was booked for weeks. We go back in the office and she's a missed call from her husband - the spooky's had a cancellation tuesday. Come along sez she. Well thinks i it's not like i'll be getting a reading.
Tuesday evening go home with her (via a$da for pizza nom nom) and we sit in her garden. Lovely. Spooky arrives and my friend sez oh this is my friend can you do her as well? Hmm would have seemed rude not to. Friend and her oh go inside and we're left on the patio in the glorious sunshine and the spooky closes her eyes, not in a dramatic way, then opens them and starts telling me about a lady who's wanting to talk to me. Very obvious it was my nan, a lovely lady who i 'saw' pass over to the other side 20 years ago (another strange experience - saw her in the corner of my bedroom having a convo with someone i assume was jesus then go off between 11:20 and 11:30, next day mum phoned to say she'd died 11:27)
Anyway the spooky sez this lady's very plain speaking, full of love but tells it as it is and i 'know' it's my nan. And she sez not to sell the house, not to move, i've been to hell and back but everything is sorting now and work will just get better and better which is good cos i've years of work ahead of me.
Now this is the strange bit cos as you'll remember my xoh found another just before our 25th wedding anniversary nearly 2 years ago and i absolutely went to hell and back. Ended up in a real mess mentally, doctor friend on seeing me sed she was going to get me sectioned if i didnt go to the gp there and then (yes that bad), anti ds, counselling, tears, anger, self-pity the lot. Xoh's new oh wants us to sell up (still currently living here) but i cant afford to buy xoh out. So my main thoughts recently have been it's a big house for one, should i sell? If i dont how will i manage? And here's a woman i've never met before who knows nothing about me coming out plainly with the thing most on my mind. Whether i now believe or not, what i do know was it was very relaxing, like a counselling session except without me having to say much. Oh and she sed when this lady passed on she left me something very valuable - well that couldnt be true cos my nan was lovely and wise but didnt have anything valuable to leave. Not that i said that to the spooky of course. She carries on 'this lady didnt have any money to keave you but she left something more valuable - her knowledge and she wants you to know she's always round and your door is always open for friends and family but shut to one (dramatic holding up of hand) (well that'll be xoh's new oh most defo banned) and she loves my quirky house especially the kitchen space :-) well so do i nan. And the best of it? Xoh's new oh defo believes in the spirit world so will i think be less inclined to argue with my nan tee heeAngela - good luck with the date, you have to put 1 back on your decluttering.
Xoh, ds and the boys (2 naughty spaniels who i love to bits) are back home tonight having been down with mil all week. The cats (rescue cats supposedly indoor) have both ventured downstairs, even into the garden. It's been blissful. Today's plans - have a couple of dissertations to read (the downside of my job - work keeps coming in whether or not i'm off travelling and sometimes needs shoehorning in on a weekend), washing machine arriving between 12:04 and 16:04 (haha the accuracy of 12:04 but anytime in a 4 hour gap), sunshine to soak up, clutter to declutter and clean washing to sort.
Have a fabo day everyone. Wow that was a bit of an epic post wasnt it?
