Morning all, busy morning on here.
My fridge freezer packed up so I have to cook whatever is left, so had very thick bacon, scrambled eggs with DS2 (I normally don't eat breakfast). Will have to eat the fish and veggies over the weekend (which defrosted overnight) and try and offload the cheese onto EXH when he comes today to pick up DS2 as I don't eat cheese but I'd bought a huge slab for 49p (massive reduction) the other week and had cut it into pieces and frozen them for when DS2 comes home. DS2 had a choc ice really late last night when I discovered my 'fast freeze' idea didn't work, and will get the final one before he goes - I don't eat chocolate.
Embarassing to confess but in all the years I had this ff I had never used the fast freeze button and didn't understand what it was for.
I'll reply to your posts later, I've got to deal with the ff fiasco.0 -

Hello all
Haven't been in this thread for a while!!
I'm now actively seeking out Christmas gifts. Got my niece some frozen ink stamps off eBay only £3 I think and earlier the morning I ordered Epic and Rio on DVD for £5, as it was BOGOF from Tesco as per the grabbit tip off on here. Now searching sales:money::rotfl::T0 -
Hi Sarah, nearly August and I've seen my first Christmas sweeties in the shops!!! (though perhaps they're last years?)
Had a triff weekend. Lots more done in the garden, and have now decluttered 82 items (including over 20 flower pots!)MrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

Thank you so much for this thread!
I've been starting on Christmas for a while now. I craft so am making some of them, have swapped my makes for other peoples makes, and have used survey sites and freebie vouchers for the rest!!Just moved into first house!
SB so far: £15
Christmas Pressies Got: 15
Amount spent on Christmas: £00 -
Susan - well done on all the decluttering really got to start decluttering again when we get home. Def Tunisia make room in the suitcases for 2 Stowaways
Dundeedoll - wow that lady sounds amazing and it really sounds like she came at the right time ur nan sounds like she was a lovely lady.
Angela - Sorry about the freezer it's a pain when it happens is it repairable or a new one the fast freeze we use if we've been shopping and the frozen stuff been in car or putting in casserole etc just brings it down to the minus temp quicker
It wouldn't be a holiday if a - I didn't complain and b - something went wrong - we've had both all last ngt!
We took Miss Hoodie to see a hypnotist in a family pub last ngt, the pub was busy and weirdly they'd crammed tables together we were in the middle of two other tables - top table fab turns out to be they live 5 mins from us the people at the bottom a group of 5 older people I would say late 50s / 60s while every other word was f this banker this And loud the hypno bloke even told them to shut up one of the group was that drunk he couldn't stand 3 times I and dad asked them to tone it down - no go - it was worse - this went on for over a hr in the end I told them to get a gob stopper what a disguist they were to the older generation and this is a family pub q half the pub went quiet we ended walking out
Then in bed heard this almighty bang thought mum had fallen out of bed no it was miss hoodie her bed collapsed on her it turned out the legs on the bed there was no support on the bottom legs - so I had a lodger who then nicked all my quilt, upset his lordship ( the dog) as he had been sleeping on my bed.
....
Digressing completely I found an amazing shop in Conwy a Christmas shop it was so beautiful in there came out with crackers (even better half price) about 3 Xmas novelties with miss hoodies name as for love nor money anywhere in England so Rare to find her name and some homemade fudge...
Hopefully weather permitting the market for me tomorrow then day at funfair for miss hoodie she comes and goes so she def gets value for money for her wristband.
Hopefully when we get home the kitchen be finished - it could have been done earlier but it would have meant us moving out again so we made them wait till we were already away.
Just waiting now for haircuts - one of those walk in and wait - the q going down slowly.
Will try to pop head in again soon.
Started my ingredients for Xmas cake got 2 packs of dried apricots they were bargain 49p each xxx

Hello all. Finally made it to dominica after getting stuck in antigua courtesy of hurricane bertha. Had to report to airport 4am today to be put on standby to not get a seat to be returned to checkin to very welcome news they had put on an extra flight at 10am. Hooray (though would have been lovely to know that last night!)
Dominica stunning, apartment lovely, people all so friendly. Havemt managed to work out cooker (there's only a stove kettle) but have packed trusty travel kettle.
Decided crackers themed on agatha raisin too difficult but have come up idea of doing alphabet (and starting st andrews day)
Currently visiting ross university and in my goodie bag are 2 whistles with ross university on. Dd2's bf is called ross so perfect for w (and freeeeee)
Havent found any eligible old bachelors rofl but have had lovely meal. Unfortunately occupant next to me seems to be a hard of hearing opera fan. Fortunately likes baritone rather than soprano so i guess could be worse. Right, time to catch up on corrie thanks to the vpnMrsSD declutter medals 2023 🏅🏅🏅⭐⭐ 2025

hi everyone. I havent been able to get on for ages, had so much to do and a lot of changes going on.
We finished our dining room, I painted the dressers with that paint and grain stuff, they have come out really nice now. They were a very dark looking wood, which you couldnt see the grain or anything, just dark brown. Now they are looking like a nice light coloured wood with the grain showing. Very posh. We also won a table and chairs that sort of match on ebay, got it for just under £40 and it came with those brown leather chairs that are all the rage lately. Then we found another cupboard that also matches, that was £25 so the whole room looks nice and airy now with lots of space.
I havent been able to enjoy it though as my dad had to go in hospital and he has come out but needs someone with him all the time so I have had to practically move in with him for now. It is 15 miles away from my house so not as if I can pop home. I have had company as one of my grandsons has been staying with me and helping out.
It is OH's birthday Weds, and my granddaughter's. I will miss all the fun of her birthday as they are going iceskating in the morning but then they are all coming over to my dads and my daughter is going to grandad sit while me and OH go out for the evening.
Hope everyone is well, I will try to get back on again now I have my laptop with me and internet all working xx0 -
