    Xmas Saver!
    Just had to share this.

The chair I sit in has got a carrier bag by it with my Xmas sweeties - comes in handy when Bailey (the dog) has something he shouldn't and needs to be bribed!!0.

Tonight he went and sniffed at the bag - told him - "We don't do self service", he wagged his tail, put his nose in the bag, tipped it on the floor, and then pawed inside it till he got the Pink Smarties out then sat there with the between his paws as if to say I have been a good boy, (he got rewarded with one,....) xx

    hi all

Sugarspun I also misread your post, hope the op goes well.

Mum2one, is Miss Hoodie going to school tomorrow?

I just spent 4 hrs going backwards and forwards through the 2013 diary so it's up to date with all the info I like to add to the notes section at the back eg - 2013 Christmas dinner, pressies etc then notable things I did in the year, health, family.

Then I went through the past 6 months as I need the dates for DS2's visits for a form I need to do this month. And finally updated the 2014 large diary as well as the handbag sized.

Instead of extra special occasions journals I'm tearing off sheets from a reporters notebook and writing lists and putting them into the front of the Dairy Diary which has a pocket.

Another time I'll add phone numbers, utility bills, and attempt a household folder apart from this - or maybe try and fit all the info into one diary, will see how I go.

Downsize of doing it this evening - I'm ravenous and already made numerous trips to kitchen

Now I'm eating enough for at least 3, so hungry that I'm making myself yet another portion of food, I just ate one lot after finishing.

Angela - Were going to try school tomorrow and see how she goes, were awaiting the results from GP, so all up in air at mo.

Sounds like you have been super orgainsed today, - def agree with a household folder, at least doing a bit at a time in the nicest of ways your less likely to put something down wrong.

I did a good dead for mum and dad, a bit of flattery, and gently flirting, I managed to get 15% knocked off their gas insurance. Down from £350 to £299.
We were offered a policy for £200 but with a £50 excess - although we've only had 1 claim in 5 years, it would be sods law and the boiler coming up 7 years old - so snapped the £50 off!

Next big Flirt - sorry meant to say bargain hunt is his car insurance (not till June).

I've got another Xmas present sorted 2ngt, a Timberland gents scarf off f/b sellers for £7.50 (brand new with tags - apparently an unwanted xmas prezzie) bartered her down over a week from £15 - not adding in as Jan spend - go onto the iou back list for presents).

Next spend be Saturday, taking Miss Hoodie to go an open her own bank account, - so I'll give her £5 to start her off, work out better for me, as i can then do a transfer every 2 weeks and pop her pocket money into that. She can then pay for her items on amazon!! xx

Mum2one - I hope Miss Hoodie feels better soon and the test results give some indication of what she's got. The dog story made me laugh :rotfl:I recall someone from one of the old threads ending up with a Labrador, was that you or have I got the wrong person?

Sugarspun I'm glad to hear your DH is out of intensive care now.

Regarding the house situation, we've decided to wait 6 more months and try to pay off the OH's car loan as much as we can before we go in for anywhere. The only other option is to give up one of our cars to pay it off and that would also mean living in a different area than we wanted so I could commute to work by bus. It wouldn't be an ideal situation.

At least it gives us some more time to prepare and get things together. Anglea I like the idea of a household folder - I might start one already and start putting in things like meal plans etc.

Good news - we managed a whole day at school no phone calls and shes been to Red Cross, shes a lot brighter - got to ring GP 2mor for the results.

good news my dotcom parcel came, so impressed with the chocolate candles - they were £3.95 each reduced to 39p

    http://www.dotcomgiftshop.com/grand-chocolatecandle

I order 10, - there was a set of 9 in a gift box, - looks so expensive that instead of splitting them up put 9 of them for one person - there was a mix of designs

Updated my list for budgets for 2014

    Birthday - £245 - inc in that have a 40th and 60th as extras
Christmas - £415 (which is over £200 less than my 2013 budget)

As always hope to bring it as a lot less. xx

I think you may mean Own My Own (OMO) - she inherited a chocolate labrador called Mia.

    Hi everyone

Sorry I havent been on, didnt have the notifications set, and they never worked that well for the other thread anyway. I have had such a lot on my plate so far this year too. OH told me he has got into bad debt, and I mean BAD. Not home threatening bad, but bad enough to have to go to a charity debt plan. I am taking over the budgeting from now on but this month is all up in the air until we can get on the plan and get his wage transferred to new bank account etc.

Not only that but I havent been feeling that good, my pains have been getting worse, I have an appointment on Monday at the hospital so hoping he might be able to suggest something.

Bored like mad too, OH is now on nights for over a week so means I am stuck down here all day, then the evenings he will be at work. My ED moved a bit further away last year so cant even go to hers for the evening as its dodgy walking back from hers on my own at night and can't afford taxis.

On a good note though, I have sorted my spreadsheet out for this year, got loads of sheets on it for things I have earned (surveys etc) plus pages for who I buy for and what I got them before etc, so its all kept together. I also worked out how to set up google drive and have now copied my spreadsheet to the spreadsheet equivalent of google docs what ever its called so I can now see it on my tablet and even on my phone, so if I am out and about I can stil get to it. The google thing was easy to do, it lets you upload it from your hard drive, but if you alter it on google it doesnt alter it on your own so I have will have to either copy it across or just forget about the one on my computer and use the online one.

I made some New Year resolutions,

Lose 1 stone (I weighed in at 13 stone last week, I was 18 stone 4 two years ago)
Learn to swim (never been able to, my niece has a costume I can have when I see her, my ED has said she will come with me, she is a good swimmer)
Keep up going to the gym (been going for a few weeks now but not regular, just on the odd day when ED is able to go with me, but better than nothing)
And now sort out these debts and get a budget going.

I have had a quick scan of the other posts, hope everyone is well, I will be on everyday and like Elysia, I will take it up from here.
