    Greent, we are not worthy :rotfl:.

  • Fantastic OPing, Pavolv! :T

    Calfuray, love your idea for curry bases :) Between that & the pesto, I can see a lot more ice cube trays in my future. :rotfl:

    Hope you haven't all washed away. I'm especially grateful for the blue skies I enjoyed at break time today, especially as it is now 'piso lawr' as us Welshies would say :D and is forecast to do so all night and tomorrow when I'm on duty :cool:

    work situation grown worse. Horrible to see dear friends who happen to be colleagues fearing for their jobs because of political issues. Trying to offer moral support but its tough when these are things that are going to drag on. Staff meeting to go through inspection report was painful, which is crazy when the report itself is so positive. Completely fed up of the current agenda of constantly berating the teaching profession. Quite why they think that demoralising the people who mould tomorrow's generation is a good idea I'll never know.

    haven't had time to do end of the month stuff yet, and it probably won't happen until the weekend. Was a bit gutted to discover that I'd missed the a!di vouchers, but we're still enjoying shopping from home and lower weekly spends. Made a lentil, spinach and sweet potato dahl the other night. cheap as chips and blooming lovely :D

    I'm grateful for
    * wonderful colleagues
    * the faintest glimmer of light at the end of the half term tunnel
    * a delicious tea cooked by my darling boy
    * living atop a rather big hill

    Teacher bashing is soo common and only getting worse. You know and i know how many dedicated talented incredibly hardworking colleagues we have.

    Just delurking to agree with you. Unfortunately anyone who works in the public sector is seen as fair game, I've lost count of the times I've read in the press about my mega bucks gold plated pension, when the reality is so far removed. My pension contribution increases again in April, more than wiping out the £10 a month pay rise I received this year. Still, that's why we are all here trying to pay off the mortgage to make life more comfortable however we choose.

    'piso lawr' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: LOVE IT! Keep the welsh idioms coming please, I can't wait to use it with my tutor now.

    Sorry to hear about the atmosphere at work, sounds terrible. Bashing the public sector is what the tories seem to do best, and no other party seems to be stopping them :(.

    well as you might have guessed from my absence, February didn't quite go to plan. Work remained pretty crappy between one thing and another. We had last minute house guests to surprise my mum for her 50th (nothing like it to expedite house work :D). MIL was rushed into intensive care on eve of the party, and remained there for 2 weeks. She, thankfully, has made a good recovery and came home two days before our jaunt to Amsterdam. We got home late last night.

    lots of catching up to do, plans to make and things to get done. We managed to pick up two copies of the mirror for the aldi vouchers when we landed last night, so my first job is to plan an 'Armageddon shop' to restock the cupboards. Trying to loosely meal plan for the month, so as to take full advantage of the 2 x £5 vouchers and save some pennies.
