Omg this is so simple but it never occurred to me and I throw so much away. Will it work for curry paste as I often open a jar and then it's gone of next time I want to do curry?
Hi Mint
I should imagine curry paste would work just fine. You could then pop the frozen cubes into a freezer bag, which you could label with the type of curry and cooking instructions.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -
Curry or chilli whatever. Im veggie but the flavourings rarely have animal content.0

Thank you both so small a thing but really is going to make a difference especially as I go to make something needing either jar and then finding the growing bits and being put of and not able to make dinner and then resorting to more costs.Living the dream and retired in Cyprus :j

VERY pleased with that considering I was very much AWOL from the MFsphere last year due to real life getting in the way of best laid plans.
Amount OP'd ended up about £100 higher than anticipated. If we can sustain our built in OPs for 2014 (which will total £1639.56) and exceed planned £2k OPs by £43, we'll finish the year £10k in advance of where we should be.
Comparing current balance to snowball debt calculator suggests we've shaved 22 months off of the term. We're comfortably on target to finish 2014 with a balance of approx £110k (or 3 years saved), with a view to having 60% LTV should we wish to remortgage when our fix ends in June 2015.
We don't think our level of savings would make an Offset a viable option for us (and that situation will probably be even more dire once we have paid for building work to house). Equally, we don't think that rates will be low enough that we could afford the increased payments if we shortened the term (especially thinking with one eye to the future....maternity pay is shocking, so when the time comes that we decide to have puppies, we really need our mortgage payment as close to £500 as possible).
We currently envisage lengthening the term to achieve a lower contractual monthly payment, but keeping actual payment at current levels for as long as is financially viable (ie built in OP of £2-300 a month).know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

Glad it helps! Since there's only me and OH in house I do this with everything, pesto, curry sauces, etc. I also like to buy garlic, ginger and chilli, chop them all up tiny, mix them and freeze them in ice-cube trays, that you you have instant little block for curry or stir-fry basepavlovs_dog wrote: »x
