Daughter moved out - how long until I can 'box her things'?
Comments
-
My son moved out recently and over the following three weeks I boxed up everything he left behind and just rang him to ask him if he was in.
I then dropped the boxes off on the way to somewhere else.
He knew exactly what I was up to
I should also mention this is the 4th time.0 -
Oh, if only. When I moved out, I wasn't allowed to take anything with me because, as it had lived under her roof, it was all 'hers'.
Still not certain what she gained from a bunch of size 8 clothes, size 7 shoes and all my books, CDs, etc. but she's still got them and everything else in my old room. And it wasn't as if she wanted me to come back.
Box it up, tell her it's ready and did she want it now or you could skip it for her first weekend in January.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll

20 minutes and put a sign in the newsagents for a lodger! It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.0

My Mum moaned for years that she had my sister's and my wedding and bridesmaids dresses in her wardrobe. Her and Dad had 6 wardrobes between the 2 of them though, and they weren't all filled. It was a wardrobe they didn't use anyway. Mum just hates clutter. I used to keep my school journals and she'd throw them out. I once inherited a very old toy singer sewing machine, still in the box, and she threw that away too! I think that's why i'm not as keen on her to throw stuff away. She threw everything I wanted to keep, out - long before i'd even moved out. I'm surprised she kept the dresses for as long as she did lol0
