NSD for me today.
Going to the bank today to cancel continueses payment and post letter (template from this site) to inform company. I ring the day I get paid and they dont get there payment, to arrange a repayment plan. I am expecting a right carry on. Not sure if this is the right way to go about it.
Spending the rest of the day on clearing stuff I don't use and have never used for years

500 payday loan canceled continuous payment, have to wait for it to default to set up a repayment plan

Continuous Payment canceled, that has freed up £450 from my pay packet. Company that it is with have said they cannot enter into re payment plan until account has defaulted. So have to ring them day after my payday. This will make a big difference, as I wont need to re borrow to replace it when its been taken out. Just hope I can work out a reasonable repayment figure.
I am in the process of making a spreadsheet, only dabbled with spreadsheets, so its a work in progress. But I have to main things down. Money in, money our, budget and spending. Ill tweak it as I go along and learn a bit more4 - 6 month loans

But did not NEED a one

Hello! My phone is not due to end until next year but I plan to do the same and, if I do need one, I will hopefully have the cash to buy one out right for a good deal rather than get sucked into shelling out lots of excess cash for the phone company's benefit, not mine.If you don't believe you can ever do it, you never will.0 -
Hiya CW, yep still with my old phone and my £9 a month sim. My old contract was for £36 a month and sometimes went over. Now I text and ring when i need too. Stopped playing on it and FBing etc on it, rarley go over my £9

I think mine's currently £28. Sometimes mine does go up though as I tend to spend some time on the internet. I do sometimes need it connected to gain access to the forums for my degree or to access questions/bookings... I do begrudge paying that though as I'm barely on it socially (at least, compared to many I know) so I feel like I'm being shafted.
I did start one at your suggestion but still need to set up a budget and such: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5037830If you don't believe you can ever do it, you never will.0 -
Also, I got your inbox message but I'm blocked for some reason... weird.

Thank you for the message!
I currently have about 70p to last me until I get paid on the 20th but I SHOULD have a party on Saturday (if they don't cancel). If they don't, then it SHOULD give me a little pocket money. Fortunately, when I get giddy with money, it's usually on food so at least I know I won't starve as there's plenty of oats, quinoa, pasta, rice, frozen fruit and veg... haha
But yes, I'm pretty rubbish with money too but I don't always want to be. I know if I don't get it sorted now, it won't ever matter what I earn as I'll never have it under control.
Are your cupboards all stocked?

Hiya Kelly, found your Diary and subscribed. Its brilliant you got it all out and got in down to read, way to go girl.
I know just what you mean by no matter how much pay, if we don't get a handle on budgeting and sticking to it, it will never be enough. I have took on a part time job as well as my full time job, just as and when they need me, holiday cover at the moment. I want to put the extra cash to real good use. My 6 month loans, I can pay money off at anytime, so im going to pay it straight off those.
cupboard have quite a few staples in them but lack stuff to go with it, like mince chicken etc. I will keep yous posted on what concotions I come up with. I am at the moment eating a bachelors pasta, leek n bacon thing from a paket and done in the microwave, its ok, quite tasty. My other bit of news is DH friend works for a bakery and he delevers near us, he gives us a bip and drops us of some pie, pasties etc, so that was a welcome bonus

Do let me know what you come up with! The packet sauces are pretty handy for last minute, tasty meals. I have a few sauces and such 'just in case' that I pick up whenever they're on offer. They're not my preferred meal choices but won't complain if that's all that's in. Better than some of the other concoctions I come up with. I made a quinoa and black bean meal last night, but freaked myself out at the quinoa turned a really gross grey/black. Not cool.
I find having stirfry mixes stashed in the freezer is pretty good and lots of noodles/rice etc. Won't starve at least :P
Those 'as and when' jobs really are handy! Particularly when you do dictate the hours. I hope they really help you out!If you don't believe you can ever do it, you never will.0 -
Hiya, not a lot to update on, keeping my spends very low and have £6 to last me 4 days. So roll on Friday. I will be logging every penny in a catagory then ill total up each one in 4 weeks, so where is gone and draw up a realistic budget once I have amounts to work on BUT I have got a food budget for £180 for 2 adults and a dogie for 4 weeks and I will be more aware of frivolous spends and keep them down. I am going to give DH and myself pocket money. This is to stop me "dipping in" DH never dips in.
We go on holidays Sept 1st, this is paid for. But need to pay for doggie in the kennal and spending money. Next holiday will be saved for.
I have renames my bank accounts 4 of them as they all witht the same bank. I am also going into town on tomorrow to open a credit union bank account. This will be my emergency and savings money for the time being until I can trust myself to have it one of my main accounts. Its quite a journey into town, so cant access this money easily at all.
