2014 is turn around year

Hello, I need to get my house in order. Not a lot of cash coming in, so I need to be very frugal, get completely debt free and learn to make do and mend and live within my means.

I am ready to rock 2014 and shake every last penny out of it.

  • I am not waiting till January to start living within my means. I am starting that right from this moment. I will question all my spends. I have downloaded a spending app on the my phone. My phone contract finished in August. I did not upgrade but changed to Sim only contract. Would have been nice to have a new shiny phone. But did not NEED a one

  • At work tonight, I am going to put together a plan. My loans, utilities, rent, council tax, sky, TV licence etc are set amounts and are already accounted for, so need to work out a budget for food, house expenses, garden, car, petrol etc. At the moment no buget for any of these I just go to the whole in the wall and draw out ( usualy more than I need too) . Thats going to stop too. I will put up my budget etc when I get it worked out

  • I identify with your sentiments entirely! 2014 is debt free year for me too.

I have a large loan that finishes this year which will mean f I divert it straight to the credit card I can clear that too but my mind set tends to be "ooh £410 a month spare now......what can I spend it on"

I think the budget is a great idea though and definitely saving up for things is a great motivator! Will be watching!
Can I ever learn this budgeting lark? So far it's not looking promising

I've spent all afternoon tweaking my budget to cover all bases, so definitely think it's a good idea to get one sorted for yourself!

Hope work goes ok for you tonight :):):)

Hiya Archer, thank You for reading and posting. The above is so me too. As soon as I have some spare cash, I have to spend it, instead of putting it to better use, like my debts. But we are not going to do that again, until are debts are clear and we have savings and an emergency fund........are we ?
