Hi Goldiegirl and thanks for posting

You should de-lurk more often
We definitely sound like we are on the same quest for clutter free homes that have only the important:- useful/beautiful/sentimental items in them. I too have been decluttering for a long time now - i think my previous diaries probably have me talking about it too
I do feel now that i am getting to a really good point with it all and my method of complete declutter 1 room at time and that room broken down into sections is really working
I have sold records and albums in the past - which is why i am at the point of wanting to keep all the ones i have - for now - if i don't use the record player in the summer they will all go
Good Luck! With your sales
Do you have any decluttering tips you want to share?
i am always looking for new ideas and new ways to address things
Thank you re. the application but i am current assignment panic mode at the mo. :eek:CC1:T £[STRIKE]2531[/STRIKE] £1460MORTGAGE OVERPAYMENTS: £10575.20 Target £12,100MF Date: [STRIKE]August 2042[/STRIKE] May 2035Declutter 1000 things by Xmas 2015! 53/10000 -
Hi All,
Goldiegirls post has also reminded me about my wardrobe declutter - today i wore a pair of leggings and a top - i had pencilled both items in to reconsider but they looked fab together and are definite keepers
It was like having something new as they've not been worn in a while
BUT - i was going to wear a pair of boots and then thought - no i will *sell* them instead so i will get the description written out tomorrow hopefully ready for the next FLW and it will boost my total for febs listing target *and* create more space in my wardrobe :T
Back to the assignment now but i am *so* hungry today and keep panicly remembering lots of things i need to do - post letter, make tea, write up report - its gonna be a late one
Good news today - made a complaint and will be being sent a little compensatory voucher

Spending on work clothes isn't the worst crime ever - it helps convince people you're not a tramp - a good thing in my experience

While it may not be fair, interviewers develop a view based on your appearance. I think that your spends are a reasonable investment.Mortgage at 01.01.14 £119,481.83:eek: today £0 Emergency fund £5.5/5.5k & £200/200 cash.:jWeight 24/02/19 14st 7lb now 11st 12lb determined to stop defining myself by my mistakes. There is that Ed and i *do* feel the need to spruce myself up a bit more for work in the hopes it will make me feel better whilst i'm there

Thanks INOD - there is also the confidence factor of arriving at interview feeling well groomed. Yikes - reminds me when i went for an interview a few years back and had to walk down the center of the office and all the male staff (majority were male) literally stopped worked and stared
<- that was me going redder and redder and i mutteredto myself 'here we go'
- i mean how awkward is that ? I was wearing trousers, low heel shoes, thick white blouse and a blazer jacket. The interview itself was odd too - my application clearly hadn't been read and what they'd advertised wasn't the job  Waste of time, money and hope

I once interviewed a candidate but couldn't get past the very visible safety pin holding her trousers closed. Morning

I too think you should stop beating yourself up about your clothes purchasing
Being (relatively!) well groomed does indeed make one feel better and more confident (I say relatively about me, not you - I'm pretty sure you're much better groomed than me on a daily basis!)
Excellent decluttering work there too :j :j0
