The little annoyances of Christmas

I get annoyed when people with very young toddlers decide to let them walk on their own on a busy saturday afternoon in a busy city centre!
A) They're far too slow and get in my way when i'm heading to workIt's dangerous! They're ever so small and easy to miss not everyone is looking where they're going and your child will eventually get hurt!

The house over the road has flashing blue icicle lights, we have to close the blinds cause it drives us nuts!
People that don't say thank you get on my nerves, I've given money to the woman next doors grandkids since they were born, they never say thanks, in fact they never look at me unless they want something.
It was the boy next doors 6th birthday the other day, took a card for him with money in, he took the card and walked away, his dad told him to come back and say thanks, he just walked into the other room. I would have made mine say thanks or give the card back, but that's just me, I used to get mine to write thank you notes at that age.0 -
Shops which think Christmas starts in August
Tacky piped muzac of 'Christmas carols/songs' that don't sound a bit like the original
Chopped down trees when potted or false ones would be kinder
People who think Christmas cards are more important that a charitable donation. My family are treated throughout the year and told I love them, the day or date makes no difference. I give £1 to charity in place of every card I would have sent, so far my charity will receive £86.

People who are non-religious joining in the melee, but have no answer what asked what they're celebrating. I've been told by one person 'Christmas of course' without a clue of the meaning
The older generation who thinks I should tell the younger generation to send thank you letters, when it's nothing to do with me
Other than that I enjoy Christmas!0 -

The purpose of the mid-winter festival is to bring a bit of cheer to the darkest and coldest part of year, and specifically to eat all the animals that you can't afford to feed until spring. It's a shame that those damn Christians hijacked it to their own ends but ho hum such is life...
.... and then Coca Cola brought us red jolly Santa Claus, celebrating consumerism joined the mix, and I'm on board!

I do this too. Interestingly, I once had a colleague have a go at me for giving Christmas cards once, 'instead of donating to charity'. She soon shut up when I told her I did both, but didn't feel the need to broadcast it as she did.
I also don't understand the turkey wars in the supermarkets. I haven't bought anything special or unusual food wise, but if I did I wouldn't be leaving it till the week before. (Mind you, the downside of no special Christmas meal is no leftovers the next day!)0 -
Losing the Sellotape. It only turns up after I've gone out and bought more.
Other than that, parents who cut out their ex partners from a child's life because they don't like 'sharing' what they see as their property - and wait for significant days to send messages reminding the ex that they're never going to see the kid again.I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0
