PT session today, why do the weeks whizz by so quickly?

All the fabbing will be done on my return, hair, de-fuzzing etc and I really need to make time to use up some of the gallons of body moisturiser that I have, mostly rather lovely things received as gifts, what I really need is one of those spray tanning booths converted to spraying body lotion:rotfl:

Lizzie - big virtual hugs to your DD, I completely get her distress:(

sweetcheeks - so pleased about your OH's test results:j

  • Lizzie157, so sorry for your daughter. I know how hard it is to lose a beloved pet. They bring so much joy and it's so hard when they go.

    Hi everyone,

Hubby's results are back from heart tests and all positive news so I am very happy today the stress has lifted somewhat ..

Hope everyone is good and continuing with the fabbing.. I could do with a kick up the derrière that's for sure.....

    Onwards and upwards :):)

    Fantastic news Sweetcheeks :T

Lizzie hugs for your daughter xx

    Nice to see everyone posting.

Stress levels been high this week and pesky cat keeps trying to smother me in early hours of the morning so not feeling refreshed with interrupted sleep :o
Skin care routine has slipped a bit this week as has the yoga. Time to regroup and revisit the motivations and get back on track.

    Roll on the weekend.....

Hugs and high fives all round x

Well I made it to dance class this week and I have been walking for miles and miles and miles :D What I have not been doing overly well is eating healthily although I have improved from previous weeks ;)

Tomorrow is weigh in day and I am hoping to have had a loss as I stayed the same last week. What is lovely though is the fact that I am now between sizes :j so my weight loss is having an impact!

As for fabbing there has been a little but mainly just the basics of keeping clean and presentable :rotfl: I did go shopping and got a new outfit for £11 which I wore today and I also got a couple of nice things to wear when we go camping.

Hope you are all fabulous :D

Fab Friday Today - so get those glad rags on.

Have been to pilates this morning - I'm really enjoying it now and my body seems to be responding. Back pain is much better and my tummy seems much flatter…….I feel a lot more "toned" and definitely more supple.

Just need to sort my knees out.

I've finally booked a hair appt. It is currently a bob which is too long and straggly. I'm going for a crop - a la Judi Dench…No colour just allow it to stay white over the summer.

The decluttering is going well - three black bin liners so far and that's just clothes, and old bedlinen. When I move there will be even more in the way of linens etc. I have treated myself to some nice new duvet covers and bed linen for when I move so I will get rid of another load then.

On Tuesday I spent a happy couple of hours planting up DS2's garden and today I bought some tomato and strawberry plants, some lupins and some cannia lilies. It's starting to fill up nicely.

I also bought some CC cream from Alid's £3-99 and something called "shimmering" cream £1-99. I imagine the shimmering cream will be something similar to Clarin's beauty flash. I'll test drive them and let you know….

They also had some facial oils at £3-99 but I've got plenty of ingredients to make my own so I didn't bother.

Anyway time for a spot of lunch and then a rest.

    Have a good day…….

Rummer - what kind of dance class do you go to. I think I'm going to try that next - now that I feel a bit fitter and a bit more flexible. I love dancing.

Well done on the £11 outfit…….:D

    Hi,
    #
Just back from my first ever dermabrasion and facial, purchased via groupon. Can't say I can see much difference but my skin feels lovely and smooth. The products she used smelled lovely too. Don't think I'd pay full price for it but am happy with what I did pay and as it was for three treatments I stll have 2 more to look forward to.

DD2 is still v. tearful but she is helping the other friend out with her horse this weekend so hopefully that will take her mind of it a bit. She so sad I'm devastated on her behalf. H of course isn't v. helpful pointing out the horse wasn't hers. What does that matter she helped look after her for over a year! It's like telling me I've no right to be upset when anything happens to relly's dog i regularly care for. What a d*ck!

    Anyway must get tea on.

I go to an adult tap class :j to be honest I am not great having never done it as a child however it is good fun and a workout for the brain as well as the body. My class is filled with a people of various ages, fitness levels and abilities which helps me feel at ease.

My real aim though is to shift enough weight and get fit enough to go to the ballet class. I dance to a reasonable level as a teenager and I loved it however having tried it again a couple of years ago I felt more hefalump than swan so it has become a life goal ;)

No long walk today as the weather was grim and my beloved son has decided not to sleep for longer than 15 mins for the last 24hours so I am just trying to relax and go with the flow until he settles again :)

Thank you everyone for your good wishes and kind thoughts it's lovely :)

Rummer well done on dance classes that sounds wonderful..

Lizzie .. H is being a prat!! Of course she is upset, and has every right to be, horses are magnificent creatures.

LL- sounds like your doing well on classes, fabbing.., funny how once you decide you want your hair cut it's almost too late isn't it and you can barely wait for it to come around... I'm getting mind done on Thursday night for b-day on Friday as a wee pamper.

My fabbing has grind to a halt as feeling rough all day and throwing up at a rate noughts when I got home tonight. So my fabbing is weight loss threw illness lol

    Hi all,

Floss - wouldn't mind a bit of sunshine but I'm not really much of a beach person so somewhere with quite a bit to see that I can just have a wander round is what I'm thinking of. Did think of Barcelona actually, have been to Spain before but there specifically, or have been looking at Prague which seems quite nice.

Bitsy - weird but my cat has been just the same lately. Keeps deciding that she wants to crawl into bed with me, never mind I'm asleep cause she'll just bat me until I wake up enough to let her in *sighs*

Rummer - the dancing sounds like fun - would love to try and adult ballet class but think would definitely fall into the heffalump category at the moment :( Still, might see what there is around!

Lizzie - hope dd is holding up, must be hard for her, it's so easy to get attached to animals sometimes and it's heartbreaking to lose them. Agree H is being a prat about it!

Anyways, went to my book club last night, which was good fun. We started the first few meetings at a coffee shop but now we've defected to the pub - and it does rather good cocktails :rotfl:The literary talk may go downhill a wee bit as the night goes on! Had a rather dull day today, have been waiting in for the phone engineer so doing some tidying and odd jobs. Just been out to meet a friend for coffee when she finished work, nice to have a wee chat and a catch up. So, probably not made the most of fab Friday as in my scruffs while tidying up but did change to go out, done my nails and hair and trying to make more effort with accessories. Weirdly I find myself wearing more jewellery as I have left all my rings off and my hands feel really bare. It upsets me a bit right now if I only put some of them on and leave my engagement ring off, so easier to leave them all off - silly reasoning probably but ah well. Things not going too badly with ex, we're keeping it civil still for the moment.

Hope everyone is having a good day x

Crikey, we've all been a bit MIA over the last few days!

Am currently sporting scarlet shellac nails - very glam - and on Friday I had my hair done for the first of my _party_-something birthday celebrations, which was having some good friends to stay for dinner & a seaside walk. We had a fab time, I got the cost-per-wear of my expensive Phase Eight dress down a bit more ;) and I'm now revving up for the next one! I was really flattered as my girlfriends told me I looked really fab and were astonished that I had no make-up on except for No.7 serum! I guess that's what being on garden leave and having plenty of less-troubled sleep can do for someone!

Have got a finish date for work - just happens to be my birthday, so that will be quite an opportune time to close that door behind me!

Right, am off, the cat has gone to sleep on my knee and & I need to spend a penny!
