I am going to atempt my own version of that Maddiemay, as I won't be needing my work wardrobe for a few weeks, and I can also start to put my winter woolies away now. There are a few fine p/n sweaters which I didn't wear this year so they can be boxed away for a start (mainly due to not wearing the usual shift dresses for work and sticking to long tunic jumpers, leggings & boots).

I have lots of casual and smart/casual stuff: skinny jeans & some fab treggings from M&S; long t-shirts/tunic tops & shirts; some nice going-out outfits that I never wear to go out in as we usually walk to the pub & I need to wear proper footwear & socks! I'm planning to start to wear this side of my wardrobe, smartening myself up a bit as I go :)

Kiwisaver - have you come across Project 333? I have filched the principles from their website

Yes I saw it somewhere on here and had a quick look but didn't really take it on board; I might have a play around this weekend. It would certainly help cut down the time I spend every morning gazing into the wardrobe trying to decide what to wear and the change in seasons seems like a good time to approach it. I don't wear much jewellery beyond my everyday earrings and wedding / engagement and eternity rings - so I can maximise on the clothes allowance.

    Goooooood morning

First of all Sweetcheeks - so glad your husband has the all clear. What a relief for you both.

Well ladies I've taken a leaf from your books and I have started a major wardrobe sort out. Two large bin liners so far…..

    Feels better already:D

Today's quote from my desk diary

"You'll more likely do your best when you're dressed your best"

    How true.

Not when I'm dealing with plaster and brick dust though…….

    Have a great day….

    Good work Lesson!

I've since read a bit more of P333 website and scoped out two unworn tunic tops I was hoping to 'grow out of' (still with labels in) and I'm going to give them to someone or to a useful cause. I also took needle and thread to a winter dress from last year, that I really should have taken back as it developed a hole in the sleeve the first time I wore it. :T

Morning all! What a busy few weeks it's been for everyone... I must appologise for going AWOL... it's been a bit mad here too, having had some major structural work going on in my home I have been staying with various people but back home now and just about getting myself sorted out! As a creature of habit having my home turned inside out has been a bit unsettling to say the least!!

How are we all today? I know it's not Friday but I've put a nice dress on for work and going to wear some lovely perfume as I've been feeling quite :( the last few days so trying to shake it off!

    Hi,

sorry I've missed some birthdays:o hope you had a great day all you birthday girls. :)

Sweetcheeks wonderful news about your husband - so pleased.

I think the spring like weather must have given us all the cleaning/clearing out bug. I've been busy DD2's bedroom clean n' tidy, she keeps it much tidier since I overhauled it last year and taped up a list of where to put things. I just check it over every couple of months to make sure it hasn't turned into a tip again.

DD3's bedroom is tidy on the surface but needed lots of his outgrown clothes sorting so he helped me do this the other day - will go through some of the junk on top of the wardrobe later this week.

Groupon facial booked for fri :) other than that not much fabbing this week.

Unfortunately much of my time has been spent comforting DD2 since yesterday when one of the horses she helps look after had to be euthanized. She is distraught :( the hardest thing is knowing nothing you can do or say will take away the pain and only time will help. Atm she can't stop crying and is so upset. I'm going to make her a canvas/photo montage of all her pets past and present over the next week or 2 to put up n her room when she feels up to it.
It's wonderful having anmals but so hard when we have to say goodbye.

Thanks everyone I appreciate the thoughs and yes I feel might lighter this week and much happier.

Just a quick visit as I was on a double shift today and just home :)

Feeling positive as being body scrubbing and moisturising and continuing with cleansing .. Despite the many spots arriving almost daily!!

LL well done on the wardrobe cull it certainly makes you feel better. I did a big effort after Christmas. Another one to go but trying to keep some stuff to do me just now.. CC will be paid off in another 2-3 months so can start shopping then for few new things...

Lizxie loosing an animal is something that takes a while to get other especially one she has cared for and loved... Hugs all round.

Teacher- glad your back with us and we'll fine on fabbing :)

Much hugs and spring thoughts to all :)

    Hi all,

sweetcheeks - so glad to hear about your hubby, must be such a relief x

I've been on the 'spring-cleaning' bandwagon as well - though more to do with trying to sort out and reorganise the house due to the split. Am sorting through the bedroom so going through all the drawers and clearing out the old/tatty/never wear clothes that have been meaning to get to - a couple of bin-bags full for the charity shop already and a lot of things thrown out. It's looking a bit better, though haven't got round to tackling the wardrobe yet! Need to move onto the 'spare room' next - which is kind of going to be my new living room but at the moment is full of spare room type junk that really needs sorting. Got myself some new shelves this week to take some of the overflow :rotfl:

Fabbing-wise, am trying to make a bit more of an effort but do need to get on top of the healthy eating and exercise. Trying to get out a bit more, going to my book club tomorrow and hopefully meeting some friends at weekend. Is going okay with ex-OH, we're still doing the 'flatmates' situation, and since we do some work together as well then am still seeing him a lot. Am not sure if that's a good or bad thing at the moment! I do want us to stay friends and still be close - after seeing someone near enough every day for almost 14 years it's not like I can stop caring about him - but I do wonder if it's good for us not to really be able to have any space from the situation. Still, I don't want to kick him out on the street so not much of an option at the moment. I am thinking I may be due a holiday though - even if it's only a weekend away - not had a 'proper' break that was part of working away or visiting family for years. Will maybe look for a cheap city break - anyone got any recommendations? :) I quite fancy Prague maybe.

Anyone, going to go do my nails. Hope everyone is having a good week x

Pod, do you fancy somewhere with a bit of sunshine to perk you up maybe? Lisbon is nice, and also Porto, and hubbie has been to Barcelona a couple of times with work recently & he raves about it.
