Love it Maddie!!
It's quite liberating to do something different or controversial (at least in the eyes of your mother anyway!) What are you reading at the moment?
I've had the nicest day starting in the gym at 8.15, managed to run 5km pretty easily- next step working towards the 10km. Went wedding dress shopping with my friend- what a lovely way to spend a morning followed by lunch with some other friends. One of those days that can't fail to put a smile on your face despite the rubbish weather!
I'm going to have an hour or so internetting with a cuppa and then try and do my meal plan and food shop tonight so I can concentrate on work tomorrow. WW it's true- I planned to do 'about an hour' of work every day of the hols but instead will end up working for most of the day tomorrow. Ah well the break has been nice!![STRIKE]7lbs to lose [/STRIKE]

I am reading Heartstone, the last book in the Matthew Shardlake series by C.J.Sansom. Shardlake is described as a lawyer/detective and the whole series is set in the time of Henry VIII. I have loved them all and am sort of reluctant to finish this as there are no more written (hopefully there might be more in the future). I read in fits and starts, very much a case of all or nothing, I have to discipline myself otherwise absolutely nothing gets done:o
Your day so far sounds great and very varied, I hope that the "work" goes well. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
Hi everyone
So tonight i am off out for the first time in 3 years! Going to meet some friends for dinner. I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to fab myself up a bit.
Having not been out in so long, i needed new shoes (£16 in the sale) and a nice clutch bag (£10 in sale).
So i am going to be:
-Having a hot bubble bath
-Exfoliating and moisturising
-Shaving legs and armpits
-Putting on make up (for the first time in a LONG time!)
-Dressing up nicely
-Cleaning and painting my nails
I am really looking forward to it!
I also tried to find a last minute appointment with a mobole hairdresser, but no luck. I will book one for next week though.
Have a great evening everyone!0 -

Thanks maddie
Can you tell i am a bit excited?
To be honest, i am feeling quite nervous too. It's been such a long time since i have been out, i am not quite sure how to feel. I bet that sounds really silly.0 -
No, not silly at all, it is easy to feel outside of our comfort zone when we have not done something for a while. Deep breath and smile and you will be fine.:DThe best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0

Hi everyone
Hope you're all managing to stay dry. Our little town, (which has 3 rivers running through it) is on floodwatch, no houses have been flooded yet to my knowledge, but it didn't stop raining til 3. Took the dog for a walk round to have a look and the rivers are higher than I have seen. Quite scary stuff.
Only have scales at work so couldn't weigh myself til Thursday and was pleasantly surprised to find out that I weighed the same as I did before Christmas :j
So tomorrows plans are to finish tidying the house, take dog for a walk and put some more items on ebay and pack up the ones I've sold.
Hugs and spoons to you all xChiari Brain Malformation - decompression survivor
