For dessert how about getting her one of the ready-made weightwatchers desserts. Or something like a low fat lemon mousse or no-sugar jelly. Fruit salad and elmlea light or fat free creme fraiche?
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

ok if you do her a jacket potato, chicken and salad it would cost her -

    Jacket potato - 8 points
chicken breast - 6 points - this is with skin/ with out skin its 3 points per 100g
    salad - 0 points

if you dont fancy that then i make this and it is 6 points for the entire meal including 100g new potatoes boiled and unlimited green beens each :)

Jacket potato isn't seen as low in points. It's one of the things people always complain about on the WW forums because some people are only on 29pps a day so 8pps on a potato is quite a lot and that's before you even put low fat spread on it.

I think a roast is a good idea with chicken as it's reasonably pointed and lots of veg (not parsnip, sweetcorn, sweet potato or peas) as that's free. If you make roasties use Frylite which is 0 and then she only needs to point the potato whish is 1pp per 50g. I regularly have an 8pp roast that's massive!

I'm sorry I don't know how to do a link but on the Health, Beauty and Fashion board there is a Weight Watchers thread. I'm sure if you posted on there they'd give you heaps of ideas.
  • when I was on a diet sugar free jelly with an amount of fresh fruit such a oranges or grapes in it was lovely

Yummy - thanks to all who have posted. Will do chicken and ask her whether she wants jacket or roast potatoes. Will also do a fresh fruit salad.

  • Can she not just have a smaller portion of what you're having?

There's a thread of WW recipes here; I'll merge this later.

She could have what we are having but as she is a very good friend, I would like to be able to support her in her weight loss and not put temptation in her way. I know her will power is not good, so want to do all i can to help. Just thought that if we all ate something low fat that would be helpful all round.
