    :T Yay, Val - it's so much fun, isn't it? :D
You can also sign up with NASA and one of the astronauts will email you when it is going to be visible. :j.
Oh my word! Where do I sign up!
Well, someone reckons it's an automated email from NASA
Who is this person? Where is their evidence? *puts fingers in the ears and merrily gives away her email address to spacemen*
but I like to think they've got a whiteboard up there with my email address and 'don't forget' beside it :rotfl:.

Yes, love it :T. Didn't manage to see it in Spain though - although the skies were clear my wine glass got in the way when I was supposed to be looking :rotfl:.
Haha, yes I agree with Hbbb, invest in a straw. Just not one of those ones with an attached umbrella/shiny fringe/paper fruit.

Hi P*M, glad you're good and getting those chillaxes in, even if it is of the collapse-in-a-heap kind!

Ta for the detailed explanation of the beer-battered sandwich ... I think I will be sending you some rocket seeds as a new home gift, so you can add a bit of greenery to those kind of urges!
I won't say no! :rotfl: Oh dear, the diet has certainly gone wayward the last couple of weeks. Mr M's mum said I looked skinnier though, but I'm not sure that's what I should be hearing after a week eating currant buns. Have spent the weekend eating all sorts of pretty green vegetables so hopefully another new leaf has been turned!
Have you any details sorted out yet, either for Mr. P*M's proper start or proposed timeline for moving?
Nothing yet. It was supposed to be sorted last week but HR are messing around. He had an email at the weekend about it so hopefully it's been kicked into action today and we'll hear tomorrow with any luck. Can't believe this has stretched out quite this long!

Loving the beer battered sandwich :T. I had a pastrami sandwich today - that would have been great done like that :j. As great a concept as deep fried pizza and of course the legendary battered Mars Bar :D.

But as I am now on a diet I now think it is Devil's food .
Pastrami :smileyhea Mr M makes a mean sourdough, pastrami, cheese and sauerkraut sandwiched in our toastie maker. Heaven.

Did you ever come across http://www.earlofsandwich.co.uk? They made the best sandwiches. But are sadly, sadly closed at the moment. Blame everyone who works around St Pauls and didn't know what they were missing. *shakes head in disbelief*

    Hmm. Too much sandwich chatter?

(Battered mars bars :smileyhea followed by quickly stiffening arteries.)

Ah, Mr M complaining that I'm on the computer while Game of Thrones is about to start.... must runnnnn... back laaaaateerrrrr.....!

Alternated between collapsed heap and go-go-go-laundry! today. :rotfl:

Have decided that the kittybank monies will go towards Procure Kitty, and I might pop £2.50 in there a week as well. ;)

Quite a busy weekend out and about visiting old Tudor mansions and the like. A few family things rumbling along in the background which is a bit draining, but not much can be done about it as we're a bit removed from it all.

Spent a large chunk of this afternoon polishing off my book and getting through a huge pot of tea. Think I'm just about ready to face the week ahead.

:www: MFW Wonderment: sandwich made for tomorrow, 1Polled, managed not to buy lovely things in lovely Tudor mansion gift shop.

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: wandering around beautiful walled gardens with climbing rose bushes and an abundance of wild flowers; watching swallows swoop lazily in the sky; charming old chapels with daintily painted frescos. Bliss.

:heartsmil Burrow Building: eradicated some more clutter and starting to let go of more odds & ends that I like but I think I like space more.... life is feeling all the more manageable, inch by inch. :)

I enjoy historic houses and their gardens. We're in National Trust and English Heritage. In recent years we haven't done much visiting, but hope to do more in the next few years.

I've been doing a lot of de-cluttering over the last few years. I had been keeping some things for years and years, just because it hadn't crossed my mind that I could let them go. Once they had gone, I never missed them for a moment.

I agree, life is more manageable without 'stuff' everywhere

I'd love to join the NT and English Heritage, unfortunately there aren't many properties around here so it never seemed worth it but maybe that's one for next year ;) *savours the possibilities*

You've hit the nail on the head about not realising you can let go of things, I've lost count of the amount of times I've done a little dance of surprise when I realised how silly it was that I'd been hanging on to something :D

I'm loving seeing those extra inches of space on the shelves :D

We had some rather bad news this week, the family member who was ill sadly passed away. :( There's been a fair bit of kerfuffle trying to work out if we can get to the funeral, it's at the other side of the country and will cost the best part of £1k to get there. It'll actually be more than that if you count in the petrol costs of lifts we need to get as well. Ridiculous that travel & accommodation costs so much in this country, especially in times of need. :(

Anyway, I'm glad we can go, it was looking fairly unlikely there for a while. It means three days away, but I should be able to rearrange my days so I don't miss too much work.

In happier news, my Wimbledon tickets arrived. :j And they are so, so pretty. :j

Not much else to report, clever meals continuing well with much bulking out with lots of lovely carrots, and we have been eating down the freezer. Finished off some cordial (another glass bottle destined for the recycling!) and a few more lotions and potions are nearing their ends.

Still not heard anything re: Mr M's job, still got our fingers crossed things will come through by the end of the week...

:www: MFW Wonderment: making sandwiches for lunch continues with aplomb. I picked up my second free coke with my phone offer (every wednesday! woohoo!). Worked, and worked some more. :o

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: saw three ducklings this morning! Tiny little things that were tottering about the pebbles, so adorable :D

:heartsmil Burrow Building: So glad Mr M is able to come with me to the funeral, despite potential costs (both financial and regarding mad/difficult family politics), such a relief to have someone to hold my hand!

Early bed tonight and I'm going to treat myself to some serious book reading.

Just nipping in, abandoning my newly-poured glass of rhubarb wine in the process, to let you all know that there's a rather good betfa!r offer on quidco at the moment - place a £10 bet on England to win tonight and get £30 cashback. You end up getting £90 if they win! Plus even if they lose, you'll still be £20 up ;) :j

Got to be a new member though, and read the terms & conditions re: loading money into your account as they charge for paypal.
