P*M - I don't suppose the kittybank is one of those ones where the cat paw comes out of the box to swipe the money? Mrs E got one of those a couple of years ago, possibly my most inspired savings-related gift ever0

Ah ha, prune juice, good to know.* fighting the urge to make a joke about the early effects of a change of water darn sarf ...*

But yours sounds like a lifetime of fun and I want one(!) Maybe somewhere to divert the fun & games fund next.

Not-worth-it work stuff managed to take over a couple of my evenings this week, maybe for the best as it's reinforced my desire to leave it all behind!
Lovely quiet week at other work where I managed to move miles forward on some bigger projects, always nice. Especially as gives me new skills that will be major additions to my CV, good times.
Did another wad of laundry yesterday and now Mr M's basket isn't overflowing for the first time in weeks. :j
Made some hummus yesterday, yum. Meal planning done and this weekend will involve some clearing out of the freezer and polishing off things languishing in the drinks cabinet.
We're hunkering down here for the day, keeping out of the rain and now the laundry & cleaning have been done I've not much left to do but read my book. :j
:www: MFW Wonderment: £1 amazon gift card from SB (must look into making some more pennies on SB). Another £40 into the BTL fund.
:coffee: Simple Pleasures: naps! lazy days! reading lovely books

Oh dear we don't have his n hers washing baskets , do I need to buy another oneMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

:rotfl: I never thought of it as His & Her's wash baskets.
I'm not sure how that came about, probably as there's not enough room to dry things so everything piles up, but separately, again due to space constraints. Or maybe it was because I didn't want to mix my pretty clothes with Mr M's... or was it the other way around? We wash our socks together though. :rotfl:

We did indeed get a deluge and today has been even worse. Huge thundery showers which are apparently going to go on all afternoon... and I have to go out in it later.
Not much else to report; need to take back some leggings that didn't fit (alas), buy my travel pass for the month (£95, alas), and pick up a library book (yay, the one ray of sunshine!).
Off to partake in some scrambled eggs on toast for lunch.a penny picker upper. One of those rather bizarre days. Ran out of time to get to the library, but did meet the last man that walked on the moon, so suppose it all equals out?! :rotfl:
Thankfully the rain stopped by the time we left the house, overwhelmingly hot and humid though. Tan coming along nicely though...
:www: MFW Wonderment: £6 back from leggings return, have advanced onto tights so probably won't respend it yet so that's not bad. Although travel pass was a lot I realised that due to how the days worked out I probably saved myself £4, which isn't to be sniffed at.A little 1Polling done.
:coffee: Simple Pleasures: We definitely have goldfinches nesting nearby! :j And also pied wagtails by the looks of it, lovely
:heartsmil Burrow Building: had a lovely afternoon out with Mr M seeing a documentary about the apollo mission (he's quite into space-related stuff), he got to shake an astronaut's hand so he's very happy. Nipped into the pub on the way home to have an impromptu tea since we haven't got much of interest in the house yet. Decadent but rarely done these days, plus it was only for a shared sandwich (beer battered though - oh my poor waist!) and chips, so if a thing's worth doing, it's worth doing MSE.a penny picker upper. :T oh how cool :T
I have a planet finder app that I have stored in a Travel folder, along with an ISS Spotter app - I live in hope :rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

Lol, GG - have you ever seen the ISS go over? It's pretty thrilling - get that app into action! Mr M & I have stood out on the balcony and waved to it more than once.a penny picker upper. Very interesting! How come he's the last one? Don't they plan to do it any more?
