Lol, thanks. I'll have better luck finding one if everyone could keep an eye open for me

Have been doing some general ponderation
Is this a real word? Brilliant. I may be borrowing itThe other thing I want to do is get started on a BTL fund. Essentially this is part of my pension plan. I'd have to save something ridiculous like £600 a month to get a run of the mill pension going now (due to my old age, apparently). Ace. That's nigh on impossible. So who knows what the future holds, but I'm more interested in getting some BTLs, so I'll start moving some regular pennies into a fund for that. It may only start off as rather small amounts but if I feel like it's building up then that'll be a huge psychological boost and will feel like my hard work is helping to get my financial house in order (so to speak), and I really do need to set some money aside if I can.
The other possibility is that the BTL could happen sooner rather than later if some of my ideas (tucked firmly up my sleeves for now) come off. I'd need to chat to some people but laying some groundwork seems like a good plan of action for now. :T
Intriguing, look forward to hearing more. Extra ponderation required I think .NB. All of the above is subject to change. :rotfl:
That goes without saying. No point making a plan and sticking to it. How boring would that be . No, you need to do lots of ponderation, make another 5 or 6 plans, then decide the first was the best after all :T.Pearla*Merle wrote: »Oh my word, LGP! They are so amazing! I can't decide which one I want more. Part of me really, really wants to live in a hobbit house (I've had moments of feeling that I should just chuck it all in and become an eco freak in the woods somewhere) but now I see that sea shell house I realise I need to get a corporate job so I can afford to build it. :rotfl:
The stone house is nuts! And the wooden Russian one is stunning. I'd love a tiny house but I'd never be able to fit my knicker collection in it.
Oh.... random thought: I've just realised that this desire to live in a fairytale house was probably caused by my parents taking me to Storybook Glen once too often. If there was a house shaped like a shoe I'd be off right down to the estate agents. :rotfl:
ETA: I don't want all the children that goes with it though.
OMG. It's like Natty on steroids :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

I think you're spot on re. the effort that goes into selling women beauty products P*M, they must spend billions on advertising telling people to buy carp that most women probably never need! A typical TV advert break now seems to have 3 shampoo adverts :rotfl:
I was exceptionally proud the other day when Mrs E needed a replacement eyebrow pencil and excitedly told me that she'd spent £3, as opposed to the £11-12 she would have spent a few months ago0 -
Sooo... things didn't pan out yesterday.
Alas, but am (trying to) keep the faith that it was all for the best etc. Irritating though as it would have been an amazing opportunity and would have felt like I'd joined the masses and had a "normal" life for once but since that's never, ever happened I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. :rotfl:
Happy news is that I have another meeting on Monday about something (a lot) more suited for me really, so here's hoping.
Will be so glad when this is sorted and I can just get on with some of my more creative/long-term-view self-employed work. In fact, I might treat myself to a bit of that today after getting some other stuff done.
Mr M's not heard any news from his interview yetThough another position has come up at the same company so he's going to investigate.
Quick trip to Costko, Macro and Azda yesterday, £25 spent on some random bits and bobs, most notably a huge bag of cranberries from Costko for just over £3, they have a best before date of 31 Jan 15, I could save them for next Christmas. :rotfl:
Library books taken back and then swiftly taken home again as I'd not managed to finish one of them. Will definitely read them this time. :A

I so agree with you! Being coeliac, I HAVE to avoid all the goodies that appear, especially round Christmas time. Tho I certainly manage to eat other yummy stuff!
Re products, I'm still on kitchen tap cold water + evoo, with a salt n oil scrub every so often. And I'm still toying with the idea of moving to shampoo/canditioner-free existence over the summer, and using a concoction (oooh, three 'c's in a single word) of bicarb and vinegar. Of course, I'll research properly! I am just cheap to maintain!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Ages ago I had to be a on wheat-free, sugar-free diet, apple muncher, and I've never done the shopping so quick! Easily 90% of things in the shop I couldn't use, it's quite an eye opener!
Salt and oil scrub, that was it, I've been thinking of putting together a scrub and was sure you said something about it but couldn't remember, cheers for the reminder

Strange 24 hours or so of resting, lots of reading, and oddly punctuated moments of high powered domestic tasks. Clothes airers all filled up again, living room is actually completely free of cluttered piles for the first time in a long time and has even been hoovered! (Not by me, I hasten to add. Mr M has been overcome with a cold/delirium and did it).
We also completely sorted out the dreaded cupboard under the sink which now, strangely, has lots of space in it, despite still containing several years worth of cleaning products. So we must be using some of them somehow, which is a comfort.
Hmm, could do with Mr M coming down with a cold every month, we'd be clutter free in no time.
:www: MFW Wonderment: Have grabbed a whole lot of adpoints (first time in ages), a few VO surveys (eking towards amazon voucher), and am close to unleashing the pompoms of victory on 1Poll.
:coffee: Simple Pleasures: being in comfy PJs by 9pm, must make more of a habit of this.
:heartsmil Burrow Building: played a board game (and I won! :j), with plans to work out way through the vast array we have sitting on top of the bookcases over the next while. Having space makes all this easier, so shall keep on trying to keep on top of things/eliminate rubbish that only gets in the way.a penny picker upper. I've been de-cluttering, on and off, about 5 years.
It never ceases to amaze how much stuff we acquire over the years.
I'm relatively clutter free now, but still not exactly minimalist, but at least my belongs are now mostly things I use, or things that I value in some way.
But there's still things lurking in the darker recesses of the loft, not to mention the garage and shed. But, it's a work in progress, and I'll get to the end of it one day!
But it is great to feel that you have room to live.Early retired - 18th December 2014
