P*M have you read the bit about clothes and the 33 items yet? Am definitely trying this as next stage of decluttering!

Have got mine down to 40 as I don't know if more formal suit type stuff will be needed for uni job so am not counting that kind of work stuff in the 33 & I don't want to have to put it on one side just to have to dig it all out again! Ridiculous how beneficial an emptier wardrobe can be to the old mindset but is definitely having an impact!

Doing this now is also great timing for me as aiming for weightloss so don't want to buy new clothes, will wait and see which 33 items I can fit into by the time I've finished!

Ta again for the heads up on the book! X
You're welcome, one good turn deserves another. ;)

I would love to try Project 333/be much more of a capsule lady! I've done it in the past and the ease it brings to daily life is wonderful. But I have a problem...

I used to be fairly overweight thanks to chronic illness, got well, lost it all and bought a nice selection/capsule of clothes but then just kept buying clothes (charity shop, mind! Though I did find lots of irresistible Coast dresses for a tenner :D) because I'd never really had the chance to dress up and feel normal before so just went for it when I finally could, now I'm in the situation where I gained all the weight back (dratted lady pills and life changes sent me spiralling), so I'm back to trying to lose it again but can't fit into all my nice clothes. I don't want to give any away until I can fit into them again and make a proper decision on them; plus, with so many great quality outfits it'd cost a lot to replace them and charity shops down here aren't nearly as generous with their posh frocks!

In reality I probably only use a fraction of my wardrobe, I wonder if I manage to unintentionally do the 33 items?! I've been wondering if I should actually work it out, it might be worth doing as I could probably do with putting the random stragglers I'm not wearing away in another drawer until I'd actually use them. I've got some things vacuum packed away, but not everything.

Though saying all this, I definitely have some tops that have seen better days, I just need to work up the courage to let them go. Oh dear, I sound mad, trying to erase this feeling of 'I'll never find anything to replace this holey garment!' and yet still wanting to cling on to all my pretty clothes hoping I'll be slim again rather soon! The thought of my wardrobe being more streamlined is becoming overwhelmingly attractive though, if I could just crack on with the exercise and skinny up then this would all be so much easier. :rotfl: But I definitely need to take a closer look at everything and make some decisions that make the wardrobe situation more manageable, I'm quite sick of my clothes attacking me every time I open the door. :p

Another issue though... I counted the other day and I have 40 pairs of knickers! Ludicrous, but it highlights the problem in that by the time I've worn them (includes needing extra pairs for high impact exercise most days), put them in the wash, put them out to dry (always takes a fair few days here) then it works out that I pretty much need them all. :o Which goes for some clothes as well, limited drying space is a right pain. But then, if I limit the numbers, maybe it'd work out easier than I think? Hence the reason Project 333 exists I guess! Maybe I should just track things for a while and have a think in a couple of weeks.... a clothing diary! That'd be a good way to actually work out what's going on(!)

What an utter ramble all that was! Can you tell I'm a bit dazy today? Maybe I need someone to come and sort out my wardrobe as I obviously can't do it myself... it's so much easier to tell other people how/what could be done. Does anyone want to do a swap? :rotfl:

ETA: Crikey! Anyone who can write an essay on the situation of their wardrobe is obviously in need of help! Please send the St Bernards before the avalanche gets me!

Hi, I changed to a capsule wardrobe a few weeks ago and it's made such a difference, everything matches each other (I'm sticking with 3 colours navy/cream/red) plus if you are going away just pack the lot, it's got so addictive I even bought some matching knickers :rotfl:
    :rotfl: Love it! :rotfl:

    Morning,

Just read this page of your diary and I love it! You sound so positive :)

    Keep up the good work!

Let's hope we get some more nice weather so we can sit outside again soon x

    IWAB x
Lovely to see you here, IWAB! Have been meaning to find a moment to say a proper hello on your diary, you're always up to inspiring things! :)

I hope the weather picks up again too, it's been drearily foggy here today, and the smog has managed to trigger off my asthma - bring on the normal summer days!

Mad 24 hours! Work situation for me is looking mightily more positive, had a meeting today (resulting from conversation yesterday) which was exciting but I'll know more next week as need to have more indepth talk with the business owner. Sounds like it'd be the perfect set up for me though. *crossing all fingers and toes!*

Haven't slept well lately and think we must have eaten something slightly dodgy the other day as both Mr M and I have been slightly out of sorts, so it's all added up to feeling rather jittery today. Thankfully held myself together for the meeting (even though I'm a bit annoyed with myself for not being completely on the ball at some moments, but hey ho, had good feedback which is what counts I guess!), now medicating myself with a curl up on the sofa and a dose of Poirot.

Mr M had some great news yesterday as well, not only did several jobs pop up on the radar, but he's got an interview! :T Tomorrow! We're not holding out massive hopes on it as there's lots of unknowns but will be interesting to see how it goes nonetheless. Exciting times!

What a rollercoaster this is though! And thank you, universe, but I'd be most obliged if I could get off at the next stop labelled And They Lived Happily Every After. :p

Off out in a bit to chase up some other work opportunities then we're going to get another use out of the cinema cards and see the Muppets. :T

I was about to say I hope you don't get a migraine with those crossed eyes, but INOD raises an excellent point...! Lol, I love MSE, there's always a good giggle to be had :D (and the laugh's on me, I'm the one that's actually been running to the bathroom this week! :rotfl:)

Seriously though, much appreciated ladies, thank you :D

Have a spend to report but better not after everything I went on about earlier. :o Shall confess tomorrow. Might take it back anyway, hmm. One thing I will confess to is spending £2.50 on deodorant (used coupon! :money:)

:www: MFW Wonderment: I suppose all the work stuff really, 1Polled as usual, couponing, got use out of cinema card.

:coffee: Simple Pleasures: my hair sitting nicely today (if you'd ever seen my tangled mane you'd realise what a momentous occasion this is!)

:heartsmil Burrow Building: lovely night out to the cinema, and then a wander around the shops. Planning a little train trip out on Saturday, possibly another cinema visit and then Game of Thrones on Monday, so many fun things on the horizon for once!

Hope the interview goes ok pearla :)

I had the same problem when trying to get clothes together for the capsule wardrobe thing, I want to lose weight (sometimes I'm successful sometimes not :o) so bought some nice quality leggings and smart tunics from ne*t that can be dressed up or down. If I lose weight I can still wear most of it ,oh and a few different scarves to pimp things up a bit :D
    MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁
