Hope you are enjoying the beach loads in this weather. You are so lucky to be so close to the sea
xx
Unfortunately as S is only 9 weeks old we are staying away from the beach and favouring the parks that have a bit more shade . Plus with J at nursery and having her settling in sessions at her new school we are running out of time to enjoy the weather!
Hoping to get to the beach in the summer holidays when S is a bit bigger and can cope with the heat better.
I hope you are enjoying the lovely weather

Morning Ihead
I didn't realise your littlies were SO little. Bless. Yes 9 weeks old is abit too soon for the beach

Sounds like you definitely have your hands full at the moment. I remember those days. Lovely :heartpuls0 -
Morning all,
Not a whole lot to report today. Should be a NSD as nothing planned except cleaning all the windows inside and out and re-oiling the worktops in the kitchen.
I am trying to set myself little targets for each day, so that I feel that I am making good use of each day. If I have no plans then I quite happily achieve nothing, but then spend every day feeling stressed out that there is so much that needs doing.
Strange woman that I am!!.
What are you guys doing with your Tuesday?0 -
Little daily plans are a great idea Steph - I should do that too. Especially at the moment when I am waiting for confirmation of so many things it is easy to sit about waiting! I really just need to press on and do stuff.
Like the idea too of making a range of smaller, practical things that are pretty. I think you could do really well with that. The other thing that occurred to me is - how do you feel about teaching other people to make things? Could you run little workshops on crafting techniques?
What am I doing today? Have two client reports to do and am having lunch with an old work colleague who I haven't seen for months. Won't be free but will be minimal - especially if I average it over the time since I last saw him! Will be nice to get out of the house. Plus waiting - house particulars, job contract etc. Hey ho.0 -
Hi all
Thanks Mizmir, I feel so much better achieving jobs each day, I just annoy myself sometimes as I get lazy but then get depressed when jobs pile up and the house is a mess. Eugh annoying!!
I don't think I have enough skill or confidence to pull off doing any classes in how to make things, but I do need to get going on more crafts.
Hope the lunch out was nice, somewhere in the sun. Lovely.
WEll, I am just having a coffee break. I spent all morning cleaning the house windows inside and out. they look all lovely and sparkly now :T. I have just sanded down and re-varnished the wood worktops in the kitchen. they were desperate for a new coat. Will take a while for them to dry but hopefully will be ok by the morning.
I have some left over slow roast pork from Sunday, I guess it is still ok to eat??. Have no clue what to do with it though
, I keep feeling the urge to go to the supermarket Grrrrrrrr
July I HAVE to stick to my £60 per week budget. My food shopping is blowing my budget..

Pork stroganoff? I did that with a mixture of left over pork and fresh. Obviously cooked the raw meat separately first. Was v nice!

Morning,
Managed to scrape together £130 to pay my Barclays Overdraft.
Only two more debt payments to go this month and I am definitely going to fall short of my 1k target. It will probably be the £700-£800 mark.
.
Those MOT's just swallowed up any spare cash I came across and I still have to TAX my car, which will have to come out of July's Budget as there is no wiggle room at all with the last bit of June.
Oh well, At least everyone will get paid and MOT's have been achieved. I totally expected to have my car off the road by now with a long list of expensive problems to fix so I should be happy.
On to July, which will still be tight, but at least if any little bits of money come in they can go against debts rather than cars..
Got lots of jobs to do today but feeling a little tired. Think I need a coffee or two before I can properly get going.
My friends have gone off to Glastonbury and I now have their son until Monday. I know it sounds silly but I am feeling extra pressure to make decent meals in the evening with someone elses child here. This is a abit of a pain as I don't really have the money to be buying anything else so will have to get my thinking cap on ingenious meals for them.
Anyways off to make another coffee hope you all have a nice day ahead. xx0 -
Hi Steph
I too am tired today, I woke very early yesterday and had a lovely day out at a (not visited before) NT house, had lunch there sat outside (OH paid as it was my birthday), then on to a craft centre and again sat out, this time watching lots of ducks and weeny little ducklings, while having tea and cakes.
I just couldn't wake up this morning and am on third mug of tea, but cannot face eating yet:(
I need to get organised with the house and garden work, the garden has been taking preference, but had visitors on Saturday, so OH had a blitz with the D*son and did all the corners!. Where do all those little spider webs appear from, as soon as 1 is removed the little devils start again. My other grump with wildlife is the blackbirds scratching in the planted containers, I am going to have to collect up lots of stones and place on the tops:(:(
You have done so well in June and even though July will be tight, as you say the cars were not as bad as might have been. Try not to get pressurised on the food front by having little visitor, in my experience children will eat and enjoy anything when away from home, even things that they don't touch at home:(
(Little horrors)
MM
ETA - too many glum little faces in this post, I have glued a smile to my face! getting the vac out and putting a loud and stimulating album on i-pod on.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -

Definitely got our hands full, but loving it :grinheart:happylove:happyhear:smileyhea:heart2: :heartsmil ooh look I've found the smileys...little things please little minds and all that!
We went to the beach today! :j J was in school for a taster session so me, OH and S went for a 10 minute pull the pushchair along the beach! :rotfl: great excercise though!
I'm a lot like you, I have to set myself small goals with house related stuff otherwise I feel too overwhelmed and nothing gets done...and then I get annoyed with myself because nothing has been done!
I hope you are making the most of the sunny evening - it looks like we are due a week of rain! It will do the plants good, but I'm not liking the idea of being stuck indoors :undecided
