I understand you being disappointed, but one day left of the first half year and you are already at 59% of your 2014 target, well done:j

    Hi Steph,

Although you think you have not thrown enough money at your debt this month considering all the outlays too, imagine how you would have afforded it in the past? You have done brilliantly. Stop being so hard on yourself.

I think you always feed your kids well and I bet your friends do not feed their child gourmet meals so stop panicking about that too and just feed them as you do your own. You are doing great

    Thank you so much MM,

Can't believe it has been six months and I am still on track. Just shows how determined I am this time around.

I guess you are right Magsnoodle, I always knew that June was going to be a killer month and a big potential to totally ruin all my progress, so just getting through this month with £200 less paid to debt it a minor miracle.

We are totally exposed now with no emergency fund, so I am hoping I can build that up again asap.

Tonight is the last night that my friends son is staying over (5th night). I can tell everyone is getting a little tired and I am so glad our little family can go back to four tomorrow. No matter how hard you try to keep to the usual routine, things just are not the same with another persons child staying.

Thanks for all your kind words xx

    Evening all

Been a weird weekend. Haven't really felt like I achieved anything. Hubby and I slept in on both days, guess we needed it. Dd had a birthday party to go to today and what with feeding our house guests animals up the road, we haven't really gotten round to doing anything.

Looking forward to life going to back normal next week as our house guest goes home tomorrow.

Its my Birthday on Wednesday. 39 . This marks the reality that I have 1 more year till we are debt free. Unsure if I will make it by July 2015 but there won't be much debt left by then.

Don't think I will be doing anything for my birthday, no money (as usual). The mother of our little house guest said she was going to take me out for lunch next week for my birthday and as a thank you for having her son to stay. Which will be a nice treat. :D

I asked to hubby to try to remember to prod the children on Tuesday night to make me a birthday card. I refuse to ask them myself :naughty:.

Abit depressing to have yet another birthday with no money. Oh well.. That's why I am doing all this now so that I can afford to celebrate future birthdays.
Don't think I would go crazy, just maybe a nice meal out with hubby or I would love a Hot Air Balloon ride one day.

I turned down an invite for us all to go away on holiday with friends next year. Our close friends are about to book a two week abroad holiday for next May. I hesitated for a split second but then politely turned it down. We are not in the situation to be paying out for a holiday yet. I definitely would not get to be debt free by next July if I had to find 2k for a holiday.

Not over sure where I have developed this grit and determination from but it seems to be sticking with me. :T

Hope you all had a lovely weekend xx

WOW Buffy thank you so much.

Not sure I deserve the "Bloody Brilliant" quote. I am still constantly beating myself up for little over-spends on food and not yet finding anything worth Ebaying. I am always convinced I could be doing better, shifting the debt quicker etc.

I think I am just realising that you can't keep up the beginning impressive totals, because you DO eventually run out of anything of value to sell and then its just down to the long haul slog :o

Love you though, Had a lovely little chuckle reading your post.

Good luck writing your essay. xxx

Well done Steph on what you have achieved plus the MOT's. I know I'm a bit late congratulating you but along with everyone else agree you have done amazingly well. 59% for the year to date!!
