Great news about your MOT Steph!

I have a Very catalogue account which is owned by the same people as Littlewoods. I have one more payment (reduced from £3000 to £120):) then I get to call them up and cancel.:j I really cannot wait.
They are obviously noting that I haven't purchased anything from them in 3years and that I don't have much 'debt' on the account they are going into marketing overdrive. Bombarding me with emails, letters, texts etc. to try and get me to purchase something.

Since reading your posts I am starting to walk round my house now seeing if there is anything I could put on Ebay to get some extra funds £££

    Hi First Trouble,

I know what you mean about marketing etc. I paid off my Barclaycard a few months ago and almost every week I get post offering me 0% Balance Transfers . I was almost tempted, but it is only until December 2014 which is barely worth the Balance Transfer fee.

Keep resisting hun, they are the Devil :)

I keep searching for Ebay items, not having much luck atm, although I did discover hidden behind the sofa, the Harry Potter Wonder Book for the Wii which my son NEVER uses. I might get £30+ for that :grinheart

    Morning all,

Well, hubby got paid £712 this morning and I paid the mortgage immediately which is £782 :(. Depressing....

I wanted to get it paid as the end of this month is going to be a super tight one and if anything is going to be unpaid it CANT be the mortgage. I was scared of paying other bills and then running short on the mortgage amount.

Glad its paid. Just got to pay the last three debts for this month (Overdraft, Tesco cc & Virgin cc).

I am going to try to not do a food shop this week. Think I might just need some toilet roll and deodarent otherwise I am going to try to scrape through. I just don't have the money for food in this last week if I want to pay all the bills.

Its not as depressing as it sounds though as we do have a chest freezer full of meat and I have potatoes, pasta and some left over veggies in the fridge.

Will take an imaginative week of cooking but I have done it before so will do it again.

I have found myself a little notepad and have made a list of jobs I want to achieve this coming week. I am also hoping to get some sewing done this week coming to bring in some pennies.

Having a lovely weekend, spent the day yesterday hanging three loads of washing out and clearing my utility room, some more to do but it feels great to be getting control of the dis-organisation.

Hope you are all having a great weekend in the sunshine. xxx

P.s Dawnybabes - my son absolutely love the clothes, I haven't been able to get him out of the camo shorts since they arrived :-)

    Hi all

Had a super industrious weekend. I cleared out and cleaned both childrens bedroom as they had deteriorated into bomb sites like kids rooms do.

We have my sons best friend coming over to sleep this Wednesday thru to Sunday as his parents are off the Glastonbury Festival. Could definitely do without the extra food costs but then his parents, our friends have done us lots of favours in the past so I don't resent helping them out.

I have done a forward forecast into July and its a tight month too. Looking at about a £200 shortfall if I want to save up in my savings pots AND pay off the 1k debt target.

So....I need to find a way to earn £200 in July. All answers on a postcard please

Are you selling your stuff on Etsy?
  • Hey Steph just catching up!

Glad you are getting organised in the house, it always feels like a weight has been lifted when things are organised doesn't it :)

£200 short in July? Get sewing? How's the stuff you made for that shop selling? Did it all go? If so perhaps think about re-stocking there again?

Did you get round to selling any plants? That's not a huge money maker i guess unless you have huge amounts but every little helps ;)

Have a nice evening all :)

Had a busy day today, vax'd the lounge carpet that desperately needed refreshing, wiped down all the woodwork in the house, door frames, some walls, skirtings etc, its amazing how filthy these things get, anf tonight I have blasted through the bathrooms.

Tomorrow I am planning on oiling our wooden worktops and cleaning all the windows. Phew.......

I must admit to taking my eye off the ball with the shelf in the shop. the woman hasnt been in touch so I can only assume she has stocked someone elses stuff. Ooooops I am rubbish at being consistent. I have a habit of taking on too much stuff.

I do need to get making again, I think i need to think of some cheaper more practical stuff maybe, like peg bags etc. Might get more consistent sales

Yes I have plants out on the flower barrow out the front. The few pennies that produces seems to go towards misc kids clubs etc. I ought to find a jam jar for it and try to save it up.

    xx
