Thanks so much guys. You are right MM, the mechanic at the garage told me it would have been 3 points and a £1000 per tyre . I can't even bear to imagine what they would have done to us.
So you are right, I have been very lucky. I'm so dreadful at checking things on the car, hopefully as our finances get better I will be able to find the money for the odd service here and there.
Well the mechanic in the village forgot to collect my car this morning so I am driving it in for 11am. Going to have to walk around the town and somehow spend no money, while its being done. I might take my Kindle and sit in the park.
I was going down the polytunnel today, but I will have to leave at 1030 so hardly any point going down this morning. Maybe I will do some work down there when I get back.
Will post an update when I get back after lunch xxx0 -
Hope your car passes without costing you too much.
It's all grey and chilly in Poole, but hopefully the sun with come out soon and you can read your Kindle in the warm!
We are off to the dentist today, followed by J having a one hour session at her new school- she's growing up so fast! I'm going to sit in the library over the road while she's there as they have a cafe, hopefully I can limit myself to a cup of tea and stay away from the cake!

IT PASSED :T:T:T:T
I am soooo relieved I can't tell you. I just had to pay £101, which was £61 for mine as it needed a litre of oil and a new bulb, and £40 for hubbys MOT that we still owed.
Wow what a weight off my mind that is!!, with the left over £150 of savings, I have just taxed hubby's van for 6 months. I still need to find the £156.75 to tax the car at the end of June but at least I have a fighting chance of doing that now I know there is no huge extra bill to pay on the car.
Not that we got off totally scot free with the vehicles, I have figured out we have paid out a combined £800 to get the two through their MOT's but at least that was virtually all saved money.
So just my car tax to pay and then July should be a more under control month fingers crossed.

I just noticed that a huge box had been delivered to our shed while I was out getting the car sorted.
I opened it up to find a huge collection of clothes for my son from the amazing Dawnybabes :A.
Thank you soooooooo much. I cannot explain how amazing you are. Please let me know what I owe you for the postage as a box that size can't have been cheap.
Thank you again, I will be making you a thank you from The Orchard Goose and will post it when it is completed.
If I can't thank you with money I will thank you with crafts :rotfl:0 -
