Ha ha Steph! Sometimes I think we are the same person - I love Vampire Diaries too! :) I know what you mean about having to tear yourself away from the tv :) I'm waiting for it to come back on ITV2 at the moment :)

Glad those books arrives for your DS, hopefully he's paying attention and will use some of the advice they give him.

I'm on a health drive too at the moment - trying to lose the baby weight! I've just bought myself a fitbit with some xmas money :)

Hope you manage to rescue the trampoline!

    :) xx

    Morning Lhead,

Phew, Glad I am not the only saddo watching TVD :D. I have got a serious obsession with Paul Wesley (Stefan Salvatore :smileyhea).

I am on Series 3 at the moment but I know I will feel totally lost when I have caught up. Hoping Netflix have all the catch up series available. Is it Series 6 that is due on ITV2 soon.??

I loved Twilight, so this is a nice sexy Vampire fix :rotfl:

I have no clue what a fitbit is?? Guess all the extra enforced walking lately is actually proving quite useful in your health drive. Hope your hubby has some luck with the car this weekend though, it would be nice to have the car on some of the bad weather days.

I expect the trampoline is totally busted. It was abit ropy after last years storms and I don't think the children used it much as its abit of a death trap. We just need to find the time to dismantle it and take it to the tip.

Hope you have a great day.

I will do a diary update a little later xxx

:mad:Santa bought me one I admit it, I loves it ! If I haven't done enough I find myself marching round the house at night determined to get over 10,000 steps

I love the sleeping bit as well, I now know it takes me 11 mins to get to sleep and I'm pretty restless, waking on average twice a night.:T

Yes, I think its series 6 - they had a few episodes last year and then have their 'mid season' break where they stop for Christmas, so i'm waiting for the rest of the series to come back on now :)

A fitbit measures your steps (there are a few different types - I have the flex), you can link it to your phone and challenge your friends to do more steps than you :) A bit of healthy competition work wonders :)

    Morning,

Phew money is so tight at the moment. January is going to be more of a struggle than I first thought.
I am not going to be anywhere near my £1000 debt payment this month to stay on track to kill my debt this year.
Think I am going to have to work extra hard in the coming months to make up for the January failure. :o
Looks like my payments this month will be about £650. Still heading in the right direction but not a big impact like I had first hoped.

With the added struggle of trying to save money aside for hubbys operation its going to be a challenging few months.

I am not sure how much longer hubby has on his current kitchen refit and I am not aware of any more work he has lined up. I haven't plucked up the courage to ask him about this yet as I know it just starts me fretting and worrying and it often sorts itself out in the final hour and I wasted all that energy stressing.

Got to try to get into a frugal mindset again after the Christmas spending. I still feel I jump to buy stuff we need without ACTUALLY planning for it and actively saving for it.

Think I need to listen to Dave Ramsey abit more while I am cleaning next week. His radio show usually kicks me into action again.

I have so many thing I would like to get going with this year.

    Orphan Lambs
Hubby to make a walk in Fruit cage (Materials cost about £100)
    Weaner Pigs
Finish our boot room (need to buy, floor tiles, doors, New toilet & sink)

I just have no clue where this money will come from if I am also supposed to be putting savings away for Birthday, Christmas, Car maintenance, Hubbys two weeks off work for his operation, Pay 1k of debts per month)

Guess I am just going to have to learn to be more realistic.

Hubbys op comes first, so will just have to be super frugal and just use what is left at the end of the month to put against debt.

Then I desperately need to be putting a set amount away for Birthdays, Christmas & car Maintenance otherwise I will be in trouble later in the year when these events happen.

Its so easy to let it all get on top of you, It does give me more impatience to get rid of the debt though, all these things would be so much more achievable if I didn't have all the bills.

Ok Mass moan is over. Hope you are all having a good weekend.

Got to get the following done today:-

    Roast dinner
    Bake cake
    Kids showered/ bathed
    Uniforms sorted
Frugal menu list for next week.

Fretting about January as there are 5 weeks in it and my YNAB only does 4 weeks so I need to find extra weeks worth of Food & fuel.

Aaargh so many bills and never enough money

    Hi Steph,

It is a very long month isn't it...!! But on the positive side, February is a lovely short one and before we know it spring will be peeking round the corner...!!

Like you I've been doing the 'how much work has OH got' conversation to myself, but give him his due even though he had 3  weeks off over christmas and into the NY he has given me cash each week.. I did have to subsidise with my christmas money but then I don't really NEED anything, just lots of things I could have bought that I WANTED... I'm still clinging onto my gift cards mind!!!

Hope all sorts itself out with your OH's work and that you can get debt busting soon..

Try and enjoy your sunday, I'm off to cuddle my nieces later that's always a pleasure..!
