    Hi lhead,

I do hope your day got better after this morning. I am usually like that after a school holiday. i very quickly forget usual times and days for kids clubs etc. That is very early to be starting school. Ours have to be in between 850am - 9am.
Weird that the other childrens mother did'nt say something???.

Hopefully you are relaxing on the sofa now with a nice glass of something xxx

I know, at least i can give half the blame to her :)

I was running late all morning, so not much better, and the only glass I got was water lol.

On the plus side J got a good report at parents evening :) she's like a learning sponge :)

    xx

That is gorgeous :) I'd love a wreath, but the only person to see it would be my next door neighbour and her son and his friend's would probably pull it apart for fun :(

    Thanks MissT

I like to think they are slightly "classier" than the ones with the plastic berries you buy off the market. ;).

Good little side line to bring in extra money at Christmas, as long as you don't mind incredibly sore fingers by Christmas Eve:D

Haha that's a shame that the children next door would pull it apart :(. Best not to risk it xx

    Thanks Tootallulah,

Not sure what to do about posting, it could work or it could go totally wrong. If anyone on MSE wanted to order one then I wouldn't take any money until I knew it has arrived safely.
But don't think I will advertise them as postable, as people may end up with a bag of greenery and no wreath :o

    Morning

I didn't post yesterday much as I haven't really got much to report.

Hubbys two work cheques FINALLY cleared, you really would think in this modern world that cheques would be clearing quicker than 5 days!!. I have allocated the money against Direct debits coming up next week, so when hubby gets paid tomorrow I can use a lot of that towards the debt.

If I manage to curb my misc spending, we should have just under £300 left over at the end of the month, but I think I am going to roll that over into December.

December is an odd month for us as hubby stops his building work on the 12th and then starts working for a friends turkey farm (I do too), its a family tradition and signals the start of Christmas for us. He meets up with lots of old friends that also do it and he really enjoys it. The downside is he gets a MUCH lower wage than his builder work brings in.

So his wages are often less than normal and he also end up have two weeks off work during Christmas, mostly due to no work. So I need to cover that also .

Adding to the fact that he doesn't have a stitch of work to go to in January is making me slightly nervous to say the least :(.

He has a couple of smallish jobs to quote for, which I will get him doing tonight. I am hopeful that maybe they might sort January out and hope that more work comes through in February. We will see.

Spa work seems to have dried up again. Had no treatments last week and nothing so far this week :(.

I will work at the turkey farm for a week in December between 915am and 315am which will bring some pennies in and abit of money from the Christmas Wreaths, should hopefully bridge the gap over Christmas.

Not heard from the Garden centre. Not sure what to do really, you would have thought he would have had the decency to communicate back, even if the price is too high. I was expecting a haggle. :o

    Oh well. onwards and upwards.

Got lots of things I should be doing today but I don't feel like doing any of it. I really need to give myself a kick up the bum

    Hi Steph,
I hope that OH's work situation picks up, but you are covering things well, so I am sure that you will get by:D Christmas is always so tricky and it is so tempting to get just one more thing for the children, when what is planned for/bought is plenty. One year I broke my ankle in the middle of October (this was pre-internet shopping) and I really struggled getting around on crutches for prolonged amounts of time, so Christmas shopping had to be restricted to the essentials, guess what? no-one missed all the extra little things that I would normally have been tempted to buy, it just proved that I was buying them to make me feel good, and that everyone was happy with their main presents.

Re: the wreaths, having worked in sales for a good part of my working life, I would say that you need to be the pro-active one on this and call/text/e-mail them, they may have sourced elsewhere, or just be bogged down with other stuff, put on those big girl knickers and then at least you will know, work out your rock bottom price before you contact them and see what happens. For me the worst part of the job was chasing orders, but it had to be done:(

    Take care
