Hi all,
Well didn't end up doing quite what I had planned today. A friend text to say she was passing through the village and could she stop in for a coffee, so I spent a manic hour tidying the kitchen and as she ended up running late, I got lots done. Cupboards and extractor fan all wiped down. Outside of oven polished, Floor swept and lots more.
Then when she had gone, I somehow ended up doing the big clean up I had planned on the office area under the stairs.
It was a BIG job but finished about a hour ago. Looks sooo lovely now. Lots more organised.
I have been abit naughty and ordered a Tippex pen from Amazon. I have been getting really annoyed with things being cancelled and then having to cross things out in my lovely diary:D, so once the tippex pen arrives I can keep my diary all neat and tidy .
Love, love, love my Filofax. I have EVERYTHING in it and it is so nice to finally feel in control and have a place to immediately write down important dates etc.
Off to check on dinner before Dd has Brownies xxx0 -
Hi Steph, couldn't you use a pencil and rubber (that's what we used to do before e-diaries). I used to be a PA for the head of a huge company and had to organise and reorganise loads of meetings so never wrote in pen as was constantly rearranging things.

Mind you I'd love a tipped pen too.OSWL (start 13st) by 30Jun20 6/10

Hi Supersaver,
That's a good idea, I do hate soft light pencils though so will have a look into which ones are hard and sharp then that would be a good idea. Definitely less messy0 -
Meant to say I'd love a tippex pen too but auto correct jumped in.

I know the feeling about the filofax
I colour code mine (a different colour pen for each family member) but I like to be able to see what was going to happen even if it's cancelled, so a single line to cross it out suits me

Supersaver - Me too, takes me back to my school days

lhead - Good point as well, think I am just being precious about my new planner
.
Going to pack the children off to school and then will sit down with a coffee and do my morning update xx0 -
Morning.
Back from the school run. Wow what a horrible day out there. I doubt very much I will be venturing outside to do any gardening in this weather .
On my list today is to clean & tidy Dd's bedroom and the bathrooms. I hate doing the bathrooms as there is so much glass and we live in a hard water area so the limescale is a tough customer to deal with. If I EVER had lots of money I would most definitely just hire someone to clean the bathrooms. Horrible job.
Otherthan that I need to get a Chilli on the hob slow cooking today.
What are you up to today? After my success selling Dd's bed frame for £50 on Ebay, I am desperately searching round to try to find other things to sell. Unfortunately I seem to have sold pretty much everything worth selling so its slim pickings
.
Hope you all manage to get somewhere warm and dry for today, I can't believe it is only 5 weeks before the children finish for Christmas ...Yikes xx0 -
Glad you got the kids to school on time.
I have decided I officially need a slap! I offered to give my neighbour's kid a lift to school because of the weather (we normally walk) and for some reason I got it into my head that they start school at 8.50, so left at 8.45......got to school, doors closed...go in reception and sign DD and neighbours in as late
driving home it suddenly hits me that they start at 8.35, not 8.50!!! So I left home 10 minutes after school had started! Ugh
I'm such an idiot
Luckily they weren't so late that they'll get marked as an unauthorized absence but still, I feel so bad! If it was just DD I would have kicked myself, but I made my neighbours kid late too!
My neighbour didn't say anything when I told her I'd leave at 8.45 either, it was only once I told her my mistake that she realised! Ugh Slap me now!! :wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:
Ugh
Time to get ready to take DS to toddler group and on to food shopping...hopefully the rest of my day will be better.
I blame DD and the 5am start

Hi lhead,
I do hope your day got better after this morning. I am usually like that after a school holiday. i very quickly forget usual times and days for kids clubs etc. That is very early to be starting school. Ours have to be in between 850am - 9am.
Weird that the other childrens mother did'nt say something???.
Hopefully you are relaxing on the sofa now with a nice glass of something xxxdawnybabes wrote: »One of my friends likes your wreaths - could you, post out - you could use Hermes for about £3.50 and they will collect them from you ? I'd order one as well to share the cost ?
Hi Dawn
Thanks Dawn, I am annoyed because i only took photo's of my basic wreath and not the lovely ones I did later on with citrus fruit slices, cinnamon and pheasant feathers added. Must remember to update my photo's this year.
Hmmm I am not sure how well they would travel. All dependant on how much football the courier plays with the box??.
I am willing to give it a try and then you can pay after you have received them, if they are still in a decent condition. As long as they are not stupidly kicked about then they should travel fine.
I don't think they will weigh much if hermes goes by weight.
Let me know what you want to do xxxxx0
