  • Afternoon all,

Well chopping tomatoes too way longer than i expected. It is all on and bubbling on the stove now, but not achieved much else today, except a piece of beef in the slow cooker for meat and potatoes for dinner.

Had to get organised because we are off to the fireworks at 6pm tonight. Could do without the expense to be honest but the kiddo's are desperate. I am at least going to make sure they are well fed before we leave so there is no begging for hot dogs etc while we are out ;).

When I get back i need to finish off the Mr T shop online and then hopefully at some point tomorrow afternoon I can start the epic cleanup of the office area . Not looking forward to it.
  • Woohoo just sold Dd's unused Metal framed single bed so Emergency fund now at £154.43 :j
  • Afternoon all,

Had a lovely time at the local fireworks last night, and this morning Dd did her parade for the Remembrance Sunday.

Had abit of an interesting text message. A friend shared my Facebook advert about my Christmas wreaths and it was seen by a friend of theirs that owns a local Garden centre. He wanted to know how much I could supply the wreaths wholesale if he orders 40-50 of them :T.

I sell them for £12, and I was going to reply with £8 each, but hubby persuaded me to start with a £10 offer and wait for him to come back with a lower price. He hasn't replied yet. Hope I haven't put him off. Would be great if I could pull this deal off.
Even at 50 @ £8 each that is a £325 profit after expenses.

Will let you know if it actually happens. Fingers Crossed.

Through the Facebook advert I have sold 9 already, thinking of tracking down a Christmas fair or two during December to sell some more.

Looks like i may be abit busy.
  • Wow thats brilliant that you have sold 9 already, fingers crossed you get the big order from the garden centre.

    Take care.x.

Hi don't be afraid to put up your prices
    I sell mine for £10 /£12 and £15 and hollyballs for £25
strangely some people want to buy expensive decorations at Christmas especially if they are hand made and a little bit different
Are there any Christmas tree growers near you they might let you have some foliage Noble is best .
  • Thanks Pwps, abba and fern

Nice to hear you make them too fern. I usually use small leylandi branches to build up the base layer of my wreaths, but I might have to approach a local Christmas tree company this year if this order comes through. Thanks for the tip :D.

Holly balls?? hmm these sound interesting. I may investigate that idea :o:)

  • Morning all,

Nothing financial to report today, not until hubby's next wage on Friday. :(

Inset day for the children today. Nothing planned to do, just hoping they will entertain themselves while I get on with my chores.

I have planned out my week of jobs to do, today is cleaning the bathrooms :(.

Tomorrow on wards I want to spend half a day in the garden and the other half in side, preparing dinner and tidying up.

Can't really go down the polytunnel while the children are home today as they either end up raiding the cupboards for food or arguing .

That's about it, I haven't heard from the garden centre man yet, but I am not going to stress. I don't want the deal if I end up making them too cheaply. Its alot of work and needs a decent profit. We will see what happens.

Have a good Monday all xxx
