Just catching up with you Steph - glad you had a fantastic break and so impressed with how you have slotted straight back into your debt busting - brilliant. Sounds like the spa needs to get organised - would they like to employ you to sort them out?! I bet you could do it in your sleep and make extra money on top of treatments. They definitely need someone to take them in hand - can't think it is good for business to be so disorganised!
Hi Mizmir
Thanks for stopping by. I would love to do their clerical work too as that is my line of work pre-children, but I am not sure if I would like to work with the Boss. He is very scatty and he does the consultations with the clients and helps them choose which treatments to do. I have a feeling even if I did their office work it would be hard to get the information out of him. Very frustrating!. Hubby gets annoyed with them but I explained to him that I can either suck it up and take the £30 per hour or walk away. Walking away isn't an option so will just deal with it.
Debt busting has been abit grim this month, but it has been a very naughty month, with a trip to Portugal and a day trip to London yesterday. The fun and games have to stop now, back to boring debt busting for me from now on

Hi wantabetterlife,
You are right, I almost thought he was testing me to see how much of a sap I could be. Hopefully it is just him being scatty. I did two treatments this morning and the lady who had the Indian Head Massage said it was amazing and she had never had such a finessed indian head massage before. I am taking that as a compliment. I think

Afternoon all,
Boy am I tired today. After a full day traipsing around London yesterday, everything aches and still have my cold.
I went out at 9am to do my two treatments. Was abit worried I would be coughing or having a runny nose during the treatments , but thankfully I am over the worst and my symptoms held out till after I had finished. Phew....... A sneezing and coughing therapist is not very good for relaxation
.
Well I have paid the last debts for October. As you can see from my signature that my totals are less than inspiring this month. Although it has been a very naughty month what with Portugal and London so to be expected I suppose.
November end of the week, so back to the grind or no impulse spending and lots of debt repaying. GOT to get rid of L1ttlewoods before the end of the year. That is my Christmas wish
.
Not much else to report really, got too many children in the house again today. The joys of half term

Think you are being hard on yourself Steph! Look at your sig - that is not an uninspiring result - you have reached 90% of your target for the year with two months to go. I don't have any doubt that Littlewoods will be history before the year end!

Wow Steph, 90% paid already, great news.
Pleased that you had a good time in Portugal, and hope that the young ones enjoyed the visit to London.
Shame that the Spa owner is so disorganised, but as you say it is best to deal with it as best you can and accept that it is out of your control.
I am trying to get used to the shorter days:(, I don't mind the Winter as such, but do hate the lack of light. OH has dug out our SAD lights from the depths of the loft, so hopefully they will help:D

Thanks for your replies.
Just dawned on me that we have a very busy end of week ahead, this half term has been exhausting.
GOT to visit my mum today. she lives in a residential home in Poole as its been abit too long since our last visit. So we are heading off there at 12pm, then Dd is off to Zumba with some friends at 615pm. So I have to make sure I get back with enough time to cook dinner and get her fed before she goes.
Tomorrow morning I have another treatment booked. I had a panic as I had no clue where to send the children while I did it, but hubby stepped up and said he is doing odd jobs for people tomorrow so could start a little later and stay home till I was finished. Think he has finally realised that my treatments actually do make a difference and are well paid. He seems more willing to help me. He can easily make up the time later.
Then we have sleep overs tomorrow night and treat or treating .
Then Saturday the children have a School Halloween party and Ds also needs to finish his school project.
Phew. Nice to get it all written down so I don't forget something.
Money is a little more tight than I would like for the first week in November but we should hopefully scrape through. Hubby starts a long-ish job next week for a customer he has worked for before who were very good payers. So should hopefully have a regular wage up until Christmas now, which should hopefully keep us on target. Just need to bag a decent job for the beginning of next year. We will see.
I will be glad to get through today, my mum had a stroke and meningitis about four years ago and she is sometimes quite volatile. It is always a nerve wracking event visiting her. I take the children as it usually makes her happier and in a better mood than if I just go on my own.
Wish me luck
. Speak later xxx 0 -
Good luck with your visit - hope it goes well. Must be difficult to see your mum like that especially if she can be volatile. Hope she is having a good day and you have a lovely visit and catch up.
Great too to hear that your hubby is being more supportive over the treatments. It is a really good earner for you so it is about time he recognised that!
Hope his own work keeps coming in too.
Sounds like a busy week. I had forgotten it was so close to Halloween and Bonfire night - I think I have lost a week somewhere!!0 -
Morning all,
Visit to mum went well yesterday, she was in a good mood and we took a scrabble board game and some paper and pencils.
So we played Scrabble and hang-man and it whiled away a couple of hours and kept everyone happy.
Mums home is just next to Branksome Beach so we always finish off a visit by having an ice cream o the beach. It is always my bribe to keep the children sweet during the nanny visit
.
Headed home and then I whizzed up a quick Carbonara for dinner and then Dd went off to Zumba.
Went off and did my other treatment this morning. Spa owes me £100 now :T.
Had an engineer out this morning to look at our broken dishwasher. He says it has a leak and that's why it kept tripping out the electrics. He has taken it away to let it dry out and then look for the leak point. Eeeeek Hope its not to expensive, or worst case, non repairable.
We do have a spare dishwasher in the barn but its not an integrated one. If our nice one is dead then we will make do with the old one for a while. We will have to save up the £400+ for a new one at some point next year.
Its nice having a plan like that, rather than just bunging it on the catalogue :T.
Got to try to tidy up abit today as house has suffered ALOT during our busy half term. I feel very out of control.
But the sun is shining and its super warm. Feel like I should do something outside with the children but stony broke
. Maybe we will go on a bike ride later today.
Hope you are all ok. Will catch up with diaries soon.

Afraid my above post sounds super spoilt. Moaning about the dishwasher when I could easily just wash up by hand!!.
I quite enjoy washing up but we have the dreaded wooden worktops and they get ruined with all the wet on them after a while.
I will keep washing up till we get the verdict from the engineer. Then I might buy a draining board rack to protect the work tops

A dishwasher is a real time saver especially when you have a family. The plan to use the old one if needed sounds very sensible. Or failing that - rope the kids in. Tell them it is preparation for their independent lives!
