Finally had a catch up :)

Hope you're having a lovely time in Portugal. It's raining here in dorset - again! lol the plants are loving it though!

Glad your hubby has found a bit more work, that's brilliant :)

I just had a thought - if you don't end up using your 'buffer' over the Christmas period, maybe you could use it to get ahead with your mortgage? I seem to remember you saying you pay it near the end of the month which means you're nearly a month late with it each time? If you used the money to make an extra payment one month then you'd end up paying it slightly early each time instead?

    L xx

Hope you are having a great time Steph change of scenery can make such a difference and great news about hubby's work.

I think that Ihead 123 has a great idea about the mortgage situation it would save that worry aswell, also could you then pay it by direct debit and get points for your Santender account

    xx

  • Morning all.

    I'M BACK!!!! :T

Had a fantastic time, great company, too much wine, and lots of laughs. :D

I got in a 1.30am this morning and have eyes so tired and scratchy I feel like I have poured salt in them :o.

Hubby was a star with the children and it seems like they had a good time with dad. Hubby was a star and got their packed lunches made up and ready so all I had to do this morning was deliver them to school.

Going to have a quiet morning, making up my Lidl shopping list for this afternoon.

Bank balance looks ok, all balanced back to YNAB this morning.

wantabetterlife - I felt quite emotional when I read your post because even though I had a really lovely time, I would have loved to have been doing that with my family. Maybe when we are debt free we can afford to do the odd weekend trip like that together.

Lhead - Very good idea about maybe using the (hopefully) unspent bank buffer money in the new year to catch up with the mortgage. It is annoying that it is not on Direct Debit because I could be getting about £7.50 cashback from Santander every month for my mortgage payment, but because its not on DD I don't get it. I have £220 in that account so far and plan to put all my Spa payments into it and any spare from hubby. Think I will definitely do that. Fingers crossed we don't need it. xxx

Of to have a coffee and a sit down for abit, maybe even a little snooze.

Hope you all had a lovely weekend, glad to be back into my old routine xxx
