  • Morning all,

Thanks for the kind posts. Feeling slightly more back to normal today, went to bed at 9.30pm last night, I was so tired.

House looks like an utter bomb went off, so got a day of cleaning ahead of me. I managed to hoover yesterday but that was about all that happened.

In my absence hubby rendered some of the walls in the new extension so we are a step further.

Had parents evening last night, which was ok!!. It seems my son has trouble owning up to things he has done wrong. Need to work on his honesty I think. :o. Otherwise they are both ticking along well.

Can't wait for half term next week, going to be a chilled out week, with movie watching and windy walks with the dog.

Nearly got enough to pay the mortgage, another £80 and then that will be paid, which just leaves Barclays, Mr T & V1rgin to be paid. Will be tight but should make it ok.

Not a lot else to report really. Think I will have a little catch up on your diaries and then get to work xxx
  • Glad to hear you had a great time Steph...good to get a break.

the weather is certainly changing..more heat needed too.
  • Morning,

Another day.....Was super lazy yesterday and hated myself for it. I ambled around the house but didn't really achieve anything. So today I am trying harder. I have Dave Ramsey's Radio show in my headphones and I have already cleaned the downstairs bathrooms, polished and mopped the floors.

Got to get this house tidied and organised before it drives me crazy.

Not much going on financially, need to wait for the end of this weeks wages to pay the mortgage and last three debts. Then onto November...Boy is this year flying by.

Got a little annoyed with hubby as he seems to be pocketing the cash he gets for little jobs. I reminded him that he had a small job to finish this morning and he said he had done it over the weekend. I then offered to type up the invoice to bill the customer and he said he had already been paid £50 cash for the job. I went into town yesterday and banked some cash so I am annoyed that he didn't add that money onto it.

I told him that I didn't want the money from the little jobs to get pee'd into the village pubs toilets, and he explained that he just wanted to keep it as a safety net for anything and that it wouldn't make much difference to the bank account .

I need to keep a closer eye on his little jobs, he already gets £20 per week as FUN money so its not like he doesn't have his own cash to fritter. Those little jobs can sometimes add up and it is annoying if he doesn't add them to the household fund.

He jokingly called me the Inland Revenue because "Everything must be declared"....Too damn right!!!.

I will work on getting hold of that £50 as it could pay for next weeks fuel or food which would then give me an extra £50 into the Bank Buffer account.

    MEN!!!!!. :(

I do feel a little sorry for him because he has man flu and is doing a really physical job today, knocking out a fireplace. Once we get debt free he can keep the money from the little jobs, not a problem. Until then we have to pull together.

Ok rant over, off to clean more toilets :p
  • Morning Diary,

Tired day today in the Stressed household. Everyone struggled to get up and moving today. After the half-term I MUST start getting up earlier. :o. I get up at 7.30 ish!!! but I think the kiddies are up at 7am, they do nothing but then moan at me when I have to rush them to get ready. I think if I could intercept them as soon as they wake up into getting dress and having breakfast then it would be an easier life for all of us.

Just checked the bank account, no change so far today. I was tempted to use some of the £260 bank buffer to pay some bills earlier than this weekend, but I didn't because I was worried I wouldn't be able to put the money back into savings.

Abit of good news, I have 2.1/2 treatments tomorrow morning which add up to £80. :T. That will take bank buffer up to £340.

I have my Dd birthday fund sorted out and also the kids Christmas money, but would like to somehow squirrel away an extra £100 for stocking fillers and our Christmas food shop. Would be nice to have a bigger budget for Christmas week so I can get some treats.

Quiet day at home today, more cleaning on the cards. Feel so tired, I am really looking forward to the half-term with no school runs etc.

  • Me again,

I have been searching for your diaries. I have found a few and posted but there are lots of you I can't find.

Hi Steph, the treatments are really a good wee money spinner aren't they?
Money squirrelled, Christmas accounted for, mortgage paid, nearly there on bills and you managed a short break. You are on the up!

    Hi abba

I have just subscribed to your diary, so will be keeping in touch from now on :T

Well done getting presents sorted, My children seem to change their minds so often and also hunt for presents , so I tend to leave present buying until mid December. Although as I actually have the money set aside for it this year, maybe its time my habits started changing. Would be nice to get stuff done before the shops go crazy.

Yes I must find that extra £100. It was abit sad last year as we didn't have those yummy boxes of choccies etc to munch on over Christmas

    Hi Tootallulah,

Yes when they come in the treatments are amazing, they really add up quickly. Just wish I could count on a regular quantity, but I'm not complaining :o

Things do seem to be looking up don't they :), just got to keep my eye on the ball. I have nearly made it to 1 whole year budgeting and debt fighting.

By this weekend my "Pay off 10k in 2014" should be at 91%. So that leaves November & December to get the last 9% done which should be fine, fingers crossed.

Then I will be on the half way mark. just got to stay focused for the last 10k in 2015 and then I will be free. :D.
