Hope you have an amazing break in Portugal, you really deserve it!

The work in the Spa is a fantastic way to bring in money. He sounds a bit scattered, I'm glad you're so organised. Fingers crossed he will pay you before you go.

I think that maybe you should get into a more regular paying situation with the spa they sound worryingly flaky! Have a great holiday Steph, you are doing a brilliant job on the paying off. I am so looking forward to you being debt free, looks like you will be there in 2015.
  • Hi Steph, Just catching up :) Thank goodness for DH getting some extra work! This is the exact reason my DH gave up self employment and joined the army, although in a way I wish he'd stuck it out as army life is far worse (in MY opinion ;) ) . I also set my ynab up as you do now, it took me a few months of playing around with it too to prioritise in the right way, but now all my bills are paid, food is budgeted for for the whole month, petrol and then everything else after that.

I hope you enjoy your (well-deserved) holiday! Even if it is raining, it's an excuse for some different culture, copious amounts of wine with no children to wake you the next day, lots of yummy foods and maybe a dip in the pool (even if it's raining and cold I always insist on swimming when abroad :p ) Have fun if I don't manage to pop in before Thursday! xx

  • Hi all,

Just checking in for the last time this week. Think I am nearly organised.

Suitcase is packed except for toiletries
Handbag is packed with passport, Euro's, tickets, cashcard.

Got to finish cooking Spaghetti Bolognaise for tonights dinner and will also make a lasagne for eating over the weekend.

I will make the childrens packed lunches tonight so that hubby doesn't need to do it tomorrow.

I have made hubby a list of what he has to do each day :rotfl:. Just so he gets them to school on time and knows what I have put in the fridge for dinner that night.

I just want to box dye my hair tonight and have a shower then I am ready.

Not quite sure what to do as the taxi is coming for us at 3am . don't even know if its worth going to sleep, but doubt I can stay up that late. Will try to maybe get to sleep at 10ish and get up at 2am .... Eugh!!.

Hopefully the taxi arriving doesn't disturb the kiddies sleep.

Not a lot more the report really. the Spa finally paid me the £220 they owed me. I have transferred it into the Bank buffer account. This is my buffer in case hubbys work dries up over the slow new year period. If and when he gets a large job to do early 2015 then I will pay this savings against the debts.
Feels good to finally get something in the account.

Ok hope you all have a good end of week and weekend. I will post again next Monday.

    Love you all Steph xxx
