    Morning all,

Well today is packing the car day for our camping trip. We are going to W1lderness Gathering. Non-electric camping!!!.

Its a free camping trip because a friend of mines husband runs it, and if I do a few hours work each day on their "Bring and Buy" stall, i can go in as Staff for free.

In the absence of any money to go camping this summer, I thought it would be a great opportunity.

Can't really afford to take much more than £50 but taking lots of tinned food and snacks so hoping it will be enough money.

Abit nervous about the children running free and the weather and just camping in general but it will be an adventure.

Will be setting up the tent tomorrow in advance of it starting officially on Thursday.

Please all pray for good weather.

Bad timing really as its a scary week with wages. Hubby is owed money by two people, which adds up to over 1k, hoping they will pay this week fingers crossed, but I think my Childrens Tax Credit goes in on the 14th so fingers crossed that will cover the direct debits until the money comes in. I hate self employement !.

Not much else to report, won't be posting from Thursday as doubt even my phone battery will last long enough to get me through till Sunday..

Hope you have great day ahead. xxx

    Afternoon all,

Phew....We are back from our four night camping trip to The W1ilderness Gathering. Soooo much fun, especially for my son who had back to back fun with fire lighting, knife skills, axe throwing, archery, whittling and loads more.
Never been so filthy dirty and tired but was a wonderful weekend and think my final tally is it cost me £60 :T. Most of that was from pester power from the children over the weekend, but didn't want to be a total scrooge so allowed abit of leeway.

Came home to thankfully find that hubbys slow payers had put the money in our bank, so have paid all our monthly debt payments.

    Nxt £120
    Co-op cc £40
    L1ittlewoods £184
    B2rclays Overdraft £130
    Mr T cc £150
    V1rgin cc £200

    Total £824.00

Fingers crossed I might be able to do enough treatments during August to make my debt payments up to my target 1k. They currently owe me £35, so £141 short. Might be tricky as they are closing the spa for 1 week in a couple of days to go on holiday so not sure how much work I will have during the rest of August. Could do with 4 more treatments to make enough money to reach my target.

I need to think about getting an advert made up for my local village magazine and also some other cheap advertising ideas so try to generate some of my own business aside from the spa. Will add that to my "To do" list.

Got all the camping gear washed and drying in the garden ready to be packed away, and washing machine is on constant.

    Feeling good :D

    Hi Wantabetterlife

Yes the £60 was me being very frugal and still saying "No" to a lot of things :o, trouble is I went with three other families who splash the cash like its water, so when the other children had copious amounts of money, it was hard to keep refusing my children for everything. I think I managed a decent middle ground.

The non-payer on FB is really annoying because I bought the plain Taggie blanket from amazon with their agreement for £6 and I just added the personalisation, so I am quite out of pocket. Teach me to get money up front.

Any orders I get now I ask for the money first, and its surprising how many have now not gone through with the order because I need a deposit. Not overly worried now that I have an alternative way to earn better money.

I have at least found a new home for it, so it won't be knocking around here un-used.

    Morning MSE'ers

Glad to be back within the bosom of my support network :rotfl:

Got a quiet day at home today. Got to put all the camping equipment back in the attic, keep the washing machine going and tidy up. and Tesco's is arriving at 1pm.

Got my YNAB budget back under control, Last wages of the month go in this coming weekend, which will just about pay the mortgage then that's everything paid.

I sent that recorded delivery letter to Barclays last week but haven't heard anything from them. I have paid the £130 for this month. I suppose I should call them to check they have agreed to my payment plan offer, but don't particularly want to be chasing them, costing me a big phone bill. Think I will just wait and see what letters I get.

Desperately hoping for a txt with some more work, now I have YNAB all organised I know that I can put any of my earnings straight against my Next debt. Feels like it is taking forever to kill this next debt off, look forward to throwing lots of £35's at it to finally get it gone.

Then it will be onto the Co-op cc, but my Littlewoods account has gone down a lot in the last few months and now makes that a lower amount, so may kill that off next. Will decided when I get there.

Oh well, had better go get dressed and ready for the day. Hope you are all having a good week xx

:j Yay been booked to do two more treatments tomorrow and Friday.

Been a struggle to get sitters for the children but think I have managed it. What with the £35 they already owe me thats another £105 towards the Next debt.

    £824 already paid to debt in August + £105 this week = £929 :D

Just £71 short of my £1000 target. :D

Feels good to finally have the ability to make enough money to make abit of a difference.

    xxx
