Do you collect comics Cinny? And if so are you specific? Only reason I ask is my ex used to collect, and he bought me hundreds. Most of the bog standard ones I sold on ebay as a big bulk lot just to get shot of them shortly after we broke up, however I still have 3 NM signed limited edition Shi variant cover comics that it seemed a shame to stick in a bulk lot of 200 which only made about £30 in total, when these were £20-£50 each. I don't want anything for them but if they'd interest you they're yours, I'd actually love to just get them out the door as they're the last thing of his in my life, but I just can't bring myself to bin them.

Happy New Diary Cinny! Something tells me you will find a way to get to LA in June, but if not October will be here sooner than you think.

Where is Comic Con? I didn't know they did it in this country. I will also confess than when i saw Cosplay on your Twitter I wondered if it was something rude :o

Thanks Dinah, but I'm not a massive comic collector so I'd feel awful taking them from you. Don't you have any local comic book shops that might buy them from you? I'm more of a TV/Film/Book junkie

But they're all over the place, Shrimpy :) Just search either MCM Expo or Collectormania and it brings them all up if you're interested in that kind of thing. I've wanted to go for over a year but OH's taken some arm twisting. The costume definately isn't anything rude, unless a girl dressed up as Doctor Who/Dean Winchester floats your boat?

Still no refund, but I called the bank first thing and they've said there's still another 2 days to go before they can really look into it. So here's hoping for a wealthy kind of Friday! Really want to sink my teeth into this debt but until then I don't want to touch anything :o

Put some go-go juice in my car yesterday, hoping £10 will last me a while as I'm not using it for short journeys anymore. Was also over in my old town so managed to pop by Aldi and get some much needed veggies (we've been working down our tinned and frozen supply, but it's not the same!) so tonight we're having spring onion and chili crabcakes with vegetable fried rice. Hope it works out as nice as it sounds in my head :o I downloaded a little app for meal planning, that also works out a shopping list to send to your phone, so I'm going to go through the freezer and cupboards today and figure out meals from now until we move.

Over slept this morning, my sleep pattern has really gone out of the window recently! Can't sleep at night and can't get up in the morning. Feel rotten because I just didn't have time to walk Ryder, so I owe him a long walk this evening. Thinking I might steal a nap to see if it sorts my sleeping out because powering through just isn't working!

Can't believe that's another weekend over and done with, what the hell :( We stupidly moved all the clocks to the new house on Saturday, so I was sat minding my own business thinking it was about 4pm yesterday and it was actually 6pm  Time just confuses me at the moment.

Still no refund from our Credit Card people. Ughhhhh! Called them up this morning and did the thing I said I'd never do - I got a little hot headed with the call centre person :( I feel terrible. But I just feel like I'm getting passed around and mugged off. I actually went and checked the "business days" after being told today was the 10th. It's actually the 11th so the payment is way overdue. And zero showing pending on my account. It's starting to stress me out a little now. I have new things to buy for the kitchen this week, other bills to pay, plus the expenses for last month to pay off. I'm £700 down right now and I don't get why they think it's acceptable? Harumph :( Apparently they've opened a case and I have to wait another 3-4 days. But this is just complete bull at this point, feeling like I'm never going to get my pennies back :( Even more as they keep on saying that they made the payment to me on the 8th. Err, 12 days ago?!

Also our kettle broke last night, even more traumatic ;) So I'm off to pick one of those up today, just a cheapie £5 one (hopefully!) as there are some super swanky ones we'd like for the new place but can't decide on what one yet. Also popping into my bank to see if there's anything they can do on their end. Oooh, it's a headache! I just want to make some good inroads on my debt already :(

Other than that, we did have a good weekend! Moved things to the new house on Saturday and poked at the kitchen laying in boxes on the living room floor :p Popped into town yesterday to look at light fittings but came away empty handed, everything is either pretty but doesn't give off enough light or tacky and bright as balls. We did manage to pick up some things cheaply to do the last few odd jobs in our place. Little glossing, a few touch ups. But we plan on leaving the left over paints when we go for the people moving in if they need them.

Still doing well with not doing a big shop, my car still has plenty of petrol in its stomach. Spent the weekend reading some new-found thrifty blogs so I feel a little more motivated! Even OH is fully on his game with his dinners and budget. If it weren't for this £700 floating around everything would be tickety!

The money has been refunded :j:j:j:j

So freakin' happy. And relieved! I couldn't get to sleep last night, worrying about everything that could go wrong. How I wouldn't be able to pay for things, or complete on the house. But phew :) Will be sending £1,500 off for the house on Friday and can start working towards getting this debt down. Right now I have £300 put to one side for the credit card, and the £100 for paying my Grandparents back. And that's basically my bank emptied!

Being as frugal as I can right now. Managed to get a kettle for £2.48, and made mini toad in the hole for tea using some stickered mini pigs in blankets we got after Christmas.

Have a weird tea thrown together, as per. Making Mexican spice meatballs, with a chilli sauce over pasta. I can pack it full of veggies too :) Hoping I have enough meat to maybe make little patties to have for tea tomorrow, we have some bread mixes so it'll be burgers on the menu :) If I make them thin enough it can be done big mac style ;)

Found some sad looking veggies in the fridge so I'm making soup when I get home. Hoping to get my dinner out of it, have some left overs to freeze and some to send home with my Mum. Trying not to throw anything out!

Put our green bin out "for the last time" today. Which reminds me, I need to call the council to make sure we have some bins for the new house!

    Happy Thursday everyone!

Had a terrible nights sleep because our radio alarm kept randomly going off. Ugggggh. Feel like a freakin' zombie this morning!

Very busy day yesterday, I was calling out for bed at about 7:30 last night. I've gone around all our house filling any holes on the wall with filler, to sand them down and paint over. Had to completely scrub down and repaint one wall in our bedroom above where we have all our candles :o But all the walls in the house are now perfecto. We just need to order two end units in the kitchen (will be about £40) to replace the ones Ryder chewed when he was teething  So that on top of cleaning my car, needing to go sort somethings at the new home, normal cleaning, finally sorting the laundry and giving Ryder a full groom I was pooped by the time it came to cooking tea.

Hoping for a more relaxed afternoon today. Still need to clean the boot of my car (started raining yesterday) clean the bathroom but that's about it :) OH gave me some very detailed instructions of how to make a pasta, broccoli and cheese bake for tea. But I'm planning on adding some cranberries to give it a sweet kick, and I'm overly aware of how bland pasta bakes can take sometimes. So there'll be left overs to make for my tea tomorrow night, and freeze for Monday night as OH is out for football/work so I don't need to worry about my tum :)

On the path to making extra money. Set myself a small goal on Tuesday to make an extra £50 by the end of the month and so far I'm at £24. Which isn't bad! Requested a bag for recycling ink cartridges which will be another £5.50. Working through some OnePoll surveys today, I've never reached payout with them. Like, ever! Will be checking the extra income board later too :)

Hooray for finally getting your money back! :T

Well done on being all frugalista-ish and extra money making-esque! I'm sure you'll hit your target by the end of the month, no problem! :)

Sounds like you've been super busy getting the houses sorted, not long until it's all done ad you can relax in your new home! :)

I wish I could, but it was all taken from the £1500 to pay for my house move :( Can't deny it's kept me on track! Being scared to use your debit card does wonders :rotfl:

I just can't wait until this time next week. Everything will be in boxes and being moved to the house and I'll actually feel like I'm doing something. Right now I feel like I'm at a stand still, there's no more space in the house store things for now and I don't get the boxes I'm borrowing from a friend until Tuesday. Getting a little stressed now because I feel like we move in less than a week and there's nothing I can do :o

The house isn't far at all, Star. I can actually see the roof top from my desk at work! It's about a 10 minute walk from our current house :)

Having a little panic this morning as my wages have dipped by £100 and it isn't like I get paid a great deal to begin with. It's because I'm paid as a director, or something along those lines. Looking into how it'll work next month so I can adjust my budget to fit. The only downside is I work my budget to the penny so I'm £100 down on the month. I'm going to speak to my Grandparents today (as they're kind of my flexible debt) and see if I could just pay them half this month and explain the situation. It's something I'll be able to make up in the months that have 5 Fridays in them anyways, and my Grandad didn't think I was starting to pay him back until the first month we'd moved out anyways. Fingers crossed as it solves the problem.

Will be keeping myself out of trouble and hopefully earning some pennies tonight. OH is out watching football so I have the house to myself, will cosy up on the sofa with our laptop and figure something out. Have to admit while I really hate the feeling of hitting rock bottom, it sure as hell is keeping me motivated :rotfl:

So nothing off of the debt as of this morning, but who knows by this afternoon!
