Nice to "see" you too, Ali
Just noticed your signature, massive congratulations if I haven't already said so!
Had a nice quiet weekend, I went to the shops yesterday to get the last couple things we needed for le holiday (lots of £1land bargains!) and a quick trip to Primark for some bits my Sister wanted taking across.
Also had a massive clear out of my toiletries, mostly just to remind myself what I actually have (which is still a lot from Christmas, and I've really failed on my resolution to use more body butter..) But I've managed to liberate some of the not-used items to friends so I got to de-clutter a little.
Last big news is that we've managed to get 2 years free unlimited broadband :T So that will save us a pretty penny.
Not a lot planned this week, will be trying to use only whats left in my purse for top up shops (need milk, sugar etc) and be generally thrifty with meals. I'm also getting my hair cut on Thursday, which I'm in desperate need of before the holiday! Only get a dry cut so it's £11Getting a super short pixie crop, really excited!

Ooooh Cinny, will you show off your new do on here now you're off Twitter? You give me serious hair envy! Are you still on Instagram? I want to see your amazing Vegas pics too. Need to live vicariously through others!
I seriously need to get back on track with money too, have been coasting for way too long and need to be a bit tougher with myself! Need to get back on here more and get my head out of the clouds.
If I lived nearer to you I would happily liberate the Body Butter - its my all time favourite thing! I do have roughly 12 tubs of hand cream which I have accumulated over Christmas etc. I do use it loads but apparently not enough!
Who was your broadband from? Great deal!Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -
I'm 99% confident I'm following you on Instagram Shrimpy, my username is Appledough
Will post everything on there! It's honestly the only social media thing I have left, I'm a hipster now
Getting torn on the hair, I normally pin it up and wear scarves but I told myself I had to wear it down this week to figure out what I really wanted. This was the original plan, but now I'm not sure! I have over 2 days to decide still, it'll come together!
Actually used some body butter this morning!! And popped one of the many travel sized pots in my "to go" bag for Vegas. I'd happily let you take as many as you wanted, Shrimpy! Only one I'm protective over is a big tub of S&G body butter, naturally
The deal is with Sky, if you activate their new sports channel you get the free broadband (not sure of the connection really but I won't complain) Only thing is you need to have the sky sports pack to get it. OH's obsession with having the full sky package is finally paying off!
It's hard isn't it? I don't know why but now we have a bit more money it's lost its priority with me, I think "Oh well I'll pay the minimum this time, then I'll pay more next week" and the latter part obviously isn't happening!
Linked to the above, I've decided to set some goals. To get another $250 in cash to take with us, and to pay £100 off of my other debts before the end of the month0 -
Thanks Cinny we're pretty happy and even more so as we found that sproglet is a girl yesterday.
I love Ginnifer Goodwin's hair think it really suits her and I'm sure it will suit you too but you have to be sure. I'm wanting to get my hair cut but every time I do I'm disappointed with it so just leaving it to grow at the moment, might get to my butt the way it's growing now lol.
Any body butter that your sister could take off your hands if she hasn't found anything in the US that comes close lol.
Was wondering about the broadband deal to but as we don't have a TV licence lt alone Sky it won't work for us doh.
Goals sound doable with 13 days to go to the end of the month good luck.DEBTS ARE BEING DEALT WITH AS BEST WE CAN:heart: Married my prince on 27/08/2011Baby Girl born 21/10/14:D:D:D:D

Awh, Ali that's fantastic news!!
This year is going so fast, I'm sure she'll be here before you know it!
I love Ginnifer Goodwin's hair think it really suits her and I'm sure it will suit you too but you have to be sure.
Exactly this. Thing with super short hair is you need to have the confidence to pull it off, but I think I'm just going to go for it. If I don't have it cut into a super short pixie tomorrow I'll just be toying with the idea next time I cut it - think I just need to get it out of my system! Need to find a quiet 3 minutes to print them off at work actually.
I might just "surprise" her with some. "Oh, I thought you might miss UK toiletries"Setting myself a challenge of using them all by Christmas, although watch this be the first year since my family figured out I love S&G that I don't get toiletries as presents.
Logged onto Quidco yesterday to find £9 waiting to pay out, so sent that my wayDecided the best way to tackle my goals will be to split my target by the remaining paydays and do things weekly. I miscalculated and forgot I have an extra £90 to come out my bank for the hotel the night before/petrol to the airport. Will make things a bit tighter but I'm hoping I'll still manage it! Guess we'll see, what I don't have I can't spend so I'm hoping this method works.

Just checked on Instagram and the first thing I saw was your mug (as in your actual mug that you drink from not your lovely face!) - its genius! My username is theothermrso but I don't post much as I'm rubbish at taking photos.
We do have the Sky Sports package unfortunately so I will definitely look into that, thanks!
I think that haircut would look amazing on you, you should go for it! (easy for me to say who has never been for anything bolder than a bob!)
Congrats on finding out that you're having a girl Ali! Exciting! Do you have any names picked put?Barclaycard [STRIKE]£7,296.35[/STRIKE] £6134.99 - MBNA [STRIKE]£4,182.88[/STRIKE] £3267.08 - O/draft [STRIKE]£569.31[/STRIKE] £413.59 - Capital One [STRIKE]£1477.55[/STRIKE] £1451.44Total debt [STRIKE]£12048.54[/STRIKE] £11267.10 6% paid0 -

I think it's hit hubby a bit more now that we know the sex but we're even more excited now

I've had quite a few hair disasters in my time including looking like a member of the backstreet boys at one stage and I should've know better as I wasn't in my teens:rotfl:. But hair grows so I say go for it and if your hair is straight even better.
I might just "surprise" her with some. "Oh, I thought you might miss UK toiletries"Setting myself a challenge of using them all by Christmas, although watch this be the first year since my family figured out I love S&G that I don't get toiletries as presents.
I'm sure she'll love that you've brought her a littel sample of home plus the kgs that the toiletries take up mean extra room for shopping on the way back. I only discovered S&G a couple of years ago and already have too much lol

I'm sure you'll be able to do it as you're aware of what needs to be done to reach a goal.shrimpy_80 wrote: »Congrats on finding out that you're having a girl Ali! Exciting! Do you have any names picked put?
We've decided on Arya Rose. We both love the name I'm just concerned that she might bullied due to our surname (Leach) but may as well have something we both love. Arya of GoT and Rose from Beauty and the Beast.

That is a lovely name, Ali! I don't think you need to worry about bullying with the last name, but if there is just make sure she has a needle from her namesake
That mug has another two sides too, Shrimpy! It's from Liberty, my parents got me it for my birthday. I love it because it's so damn chunky, so would also double up as a useful weapon if needs be. Totally multi-functional.
Saw yesterday that Glamour are giving away free eyeko eyeliners this month, they're normally £12 and I needed a new eyeliner for Vegas plus a magazine for the plane. So it's win win! I used to get Eyeko products a lot, their mascaras are still my favourite but they went from a budget brand to more "high end" out of no where and I just can't justify £15 on any mascara, let alone one that used to cost me £5. But anyways, it's really good! So if anyone needs an eyeliner, I don't think you'll find one much cheaper. There's also lots of sample packets in the magazine (sun lotion, face cream, perfume) so I've managed to clear a few potions from my carry on knowing they're coming with me
Payday today! Sorted my bills and paid a little off the other debts. Was speaking to OH this morning about money for Vegas as the travel card we applied for that was everything we wanted it to be isn't looking as lovely now we have it. He had to send a bunch of paperwork off yesterday to get him off their "restricted" level, and up to the level they advertise as "standard" for the card. Grr! Hopefully it'll all get put through as our other option is that we'll just have to keep topping the card up while we're there which is just a major faffOn the bright side, it'll probably make us more wise to what we're spending.
I took the plunge with my haircut!! It's on le instagram. Although I coloured it last night, and think it looks a little harsh now. But there's time for it to mellow before Vegas. I can dry it in about 2 minutes now, it's amazing.
Oh, and last night I remembered that Bath and Body Works is a thing. A thing that exists and there's an outlet pretty close to our hotel. And as OH's Mum has lent us bigger suitcases, and I was only packing about 10kg worth of stuff on the way out there. I get to treat myself(to anything but lotions.. obviously
)

Update to the signature because I managed to pull things together and pay £100 off my debts!! :j Which means the total is swirling and twirling towards £2,000
Had quite a costly weekend, went to get Ryder a sack of his favourite food. Which is located right next to the toy section, so he also got a new toy. One of those bright orange space hoppers which he loves, he's worked through about 3 of them now. He doesn't personally break them, it's visiting dogs that mess them up for himAnd the last thing for a spoilt dog was a bed for outside, it's raised off the floor so will keep him cool and stop him digging in the garden for cooler patches.
We're on the wind down to the holiday now. Planning a big clean this afternoon, and again on Wednesday evening, so on Thursday once I've dropped Ryder at my parents all I need to do is have a quick tidy up and we can get on the road. Getting so excited now!0 -
Is anyone else really confused by this new layout?! It looks a lot cleaner, but as soon as I sign in it reverts back to the old layout and muffins.. I'll never be able to adapt if it keeps doing this to me!!
Last full day at home, my stomach is full of butterflies and I'm so much excite. It feels like the holiday starts tomorrow with staying over in a hotel, I don't want to work I just want to complain that it's going to be 41 degrees on Sunday :eek:
With my Brother saying us money on airport parking and driving us to the hotel, I've said I'll get him drinks and snacks for the drive there and back. So just need to pop to the corner shop after work for those, I won't have time tomorrow with getting Ryder to my parents and getting some gel overlays (for free! :T)
Feel like I have a lot to do today, so it's to do list time! :A- Activate roaming on my phone and tablet
- Fetch the last few things my Sister wants
- Pick up some car treats from my Brother
- Make sure I eat something because I'm getting too excited
- Last run down of the suitcase
- Give the whole house a super good clean involving skirting boards and moving the furniture I can, all that fun stuff
- Groom Ryder until he can take no more
- Pop and see my Gramps for a catch up
