Why would you sack someone for that then? Surely you know the answer as you did it...!!Sealed Pot Challenge #239

I would have loved to have seen the investigation and subsequent appeal into the spreadsheet case.
Unless of course the employee had only been there a short time and could be dismissed without reason.
If they had a decent length if service and an unblemished record I would hope they would take this to a tribunal.
To answer your question, sacking people is a horrible experience. At any time of the year.0 -

So not cost cutting at all? I bet they hadn't been there a long time either.Nothing more to it just a simple date error eg, 16/11/2013 when it should have been 16/12/2013We’ve had to remove your signature. That has to be the harshest sacking I have ever heard of.0

Ooft!
That's a pretty awful reason to sack someone... Let's hope you're good at proof reading all your own docs.0 -
The first person made one error on a spreadsheet.
The second person has had multiple complaints from rolling in work really late (12 noon) and smelling of alcohol..
Getting to work 2.5 hours late claiming the wind stopped them getting to work even though they live 10 minutes away.
Falsifying the timesheet in front of the MD.....and when pulled about it claimed they couldn't read the 24 hour clock!!!!!
Yeah cause the other person did all this 'second person has had multiple complaints from rolling in work really late (12 noon) and smelling of alcohol..claret_mike wrote: »That has to be the harshest sacking I have ever heard of.

I don't understand how one person can be sacked for a typo and someone else can be tolerated for multiple issues, albeit due for sacking now.:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0
