Good looking women with average looking men - how?

Looking at it objectively, my OH isn't especially good-looking, he's not got lots of money, he's not got any sort of special status or power.
I must be doing it wrong... :rotfl:0 -
My ex-fiancee was very good looking, but it got very tiring when we went out and other women would come up to him and squeeze his bum before trying to chat him up. I even went to the toilet once and overheard two girl's chatting about my ex and wondering why he was with me (they were in one of the cubicles together).
However, this wasn't why we split up. This was more to do with him having more power in the relationship as I loved him more than he loved me.
With my husband we are more evenly matched and suit each other perfectly. Its nothing to do with looks. Which is just as well because after having 3 children my looks have completely gone.0 -
We are living in the real world.
reality check "Silvio Bellusconi" is a good example the combination of the two that I have mentioned above:
- The power of wealth
- Celebrity politicians ...
Rockstars, singer/songwriters: I do not need to mention it one by one...
There are still a lot of example out there
Seriously? We really do live in a land of make believe if you feel that 'celebrities' represent the common man.
Mr and Ms Bloggs of Sandhurst (and the other millions who are not 'famous') won't come to your attention will they as they are not newsworthy?
Anyway, in the 'celebrity' stakes, do you think that Zara married Mike for his money? He's no oil painting but they have equal wealth... and she was / is more of an A-lister than him.... there can be examples to support both sides.:hello:0 -

Take the make-up off those 'hot' woman and hide the hair tongs and hairspray and you'll find she is just as average as her average OH.
Mrs G rarely, if ever, wears wear make up. She doesn't use hair tongs or hair spray.
I may be biased, but I would rate her as a lot better looking than I am.
I'm not rich either.0 -
There is something kind of like this my friends and I used to call the 'Jerk Principle.'
Imagine a stunningly beautiful, intelligent young woman. She would like to date a nice, attractive, funny guy. The nice, attractive, funny guys won't ask her out however because they see her as out of their league. Nice guys tending to undervalue themselves because they are so nice etc etc.
So the girl never gets asked out at all. She starts getting worried about this. What have I done wrong? Am I not attractive enough? She starts having issues with self esteem and her confidence takes a knock.
Enter the jerk. He's an idiot who thinks he can have any woman he wants and is the only one with the confidence to ask this girl out. He's probably been rejected a lot and it doesn't bother him, so he gives it a go. The girl says yes because of aforementioned self esteem issues and by this point is so grateful that anyone at all asked her out that she tries to be the best girlfriend ever, so the jerk (who doesn't deserve her) doesn't dump her and leave her alone again.
I still see couples sometimes who fit this scenario to a T.

Basically, the OP is fishing for pulling tips. I can't see any other reason for the thread.0

I was under the impression from an interview she gave that she hooked with him originally because having been through serious competitive sport he was able to support all aspects of her show jumping training. She credits him with her success because he encouraged her into a proper all-encompassing training plan and had the experience of higher level competition.
I doubt the average 'Lord Farquareson' would have done that. Too busy looking for virgin brood mare to continue his dynasty.0 -
I'm great in bed, I never wake up.0

Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0
