Its completely possible that its true, its also completely possible that it isn't. All we have is anonymous forum user with 21 slightly muddled posts, and personally I don't think that's enough for a wonderfully kind poster like unicorn1984 to go on when giving away a valuable gift.0 -

You are right, we don't know the whole story. But the op is not helping. She has not mentioned her 2 ( maybe 3) grandchildren. If they were living with her and she has had the parents arrested you would think she at least make a small comment about them.
If she has that many children why not return a gift that was bought for another child and get the 8 year old something.
You could take one gift of each child.0 -

Have to agree with this. I am usually the biggest softie with stories such as these, but something about this one rang warning bells from the first post.:A

There is one incontrovertible fact, that posting such an emotive story so close to Christmas will result in offers of toys from the kind people here.iammumtoone wrote: »If OP has 5 children at home, it is very possible that one of those is the 8 year old referred to, it is also possible that only these gifts were stolen as I assume they would have been kept together. Not to mention the couple's two children and the pregnant partner, all apparently homeless.iammumtoone wrote: »If OP has 5 children at home, it is very possible that one of those is the 8 year old referred to, it is also possible that only these gifts were stolen as I assume they would have been kept together. I'm surprised that the 23 year old with all his problems is allowed anywhere near children. Didn't OP kick them out in September? Not allowed contact with the son, and her husband would probably have killed him had he set eyes on him. All very confusing and presents already sold on.0 -
So lets get the facts straight...is no-one in this story having an affair?
How about the O/P's drug addict son, is his girlfriend hot? Got all her own teeth?0 -
For those kindly offering gifts, please donate them to your local Salvation Army, they will ensure they find their way to the many children that will have nothing this Christmas. The OP could also contact them if they are in need.0

The partner was also arrested. So it would seem only the 2 young children are homeless. Which is why I thought it strange the op didn't mention them.0 -
I would be interested to know if the OP has PMd anybody with her address details.0

She hasn't PM'd me and I offered to give a gift. Shame I am so gullible and believe everything I am told!0
