So Angry with Police

Im spitting feathers today... This story goes back about 6 weeks when my husband who has cycled to work for the last 6 years was turning right at traffic lights when an imbecile pulled up behind him.. When the lights turned green he practically knocked my husband off his bike.. When my husband got around the corner he shouted at the van.. The van then stopped and the man started pushing my husband to the point of nearly knocking him over.. An argument ensued but the man got in his van and drove off.. My husband never touched him he was No1 nearly knocked off his bike (he wasn't doing anything wrong) and 2 assaulted...
My husband called the Police and was asked to attend that evening (had my husband decided to make this entire story up there would certainly be no need to call the Police and secondly my husband has no fear in breaking this mans neck but as he is not English I have always told him never to hit anyone and the Police will deal with it.. There was also a taxi parked opposite that witnessed everything.. My husband photographed the van driving off and the taxi..
He went up to the Police station.. Gave his report and the Police were more worried about stating that if my husband lied he could end up in Prison bla bla bla.. Never heard such a load of rubbish.. The policewoman said she would call in the man and contact the taxi driver but it might be difficult to find him (oh yes because the number plate isn't enough !!).
The following day the same man came behind my husband again on his bike (they must start work at the same time) and again verbally abused him... We notified the police again of this..
3 weeks later the Police phoned to confirm nothing was being done as there was no witnesses and the stories were not the same... Asked about the taxi driver they apparently spoke to him and he said he didn't see the argument (well done for being an upstanding member of the public).... She then went on to say to stay away from this man and she had told him the same thing.. As you can imagine my husband was fuming and so was I but I did calm him down eventually.. Had this have been a woman would it have had the same outcome .... Unlikely... and my husband not being English.... yep another reason to be spoken to in a patronising manner and I had no qualms in telling the policewoman so.
Roll on today my husband was unloading a van outside of his work with a colleague when said waste of space drove past him AGAIN shouting abuse from the window.. Making pathetic hand and mouth signs (the useless waste of life didn't stop though like the big man he is ) .. My husband's colleague turned to him and said he couldn't believe what an absolute idiot and seeing as this is the 2nd time after the original incident amounts to harassment !!! I have contacted the police myself today and asked for the Policewoman to contact me again.. How can I proceed with this.. My problem is if it isn't sorted out in the proper channels my husband will deal with it.. Its disgusting that people who are trying to go about their day without doing anything to anyone have to deal with this !!!! What can I do... I will definitely make a formal complaint about this if not dealt with now.. You hear so many stories that people contacted the Police regarding issues and nothing was done and then the outcome was terrible..
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH !!!!!
I don't blame the police for not wanting to get involved with 'handbags at dawn' with two blokes who should know better.
Get DH to vary his route, and the problem is solved.
LinYou can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset.0 -
Well well well that was interesting reading in my opinion, it's a bit of handbags at dawn.......and to get the police involved was petty. Then when it doesn't go your way throw the old ism chestnut in.......makes me mad.
but on a different note, some and I say some cyclists are a law unto themselves, they go through red lights and think that the highway code does not apply to them, and most without a helmet....stupid plain stupid.
To get on the road I had to take a test and pay for lessons and I'm in a car protected on 4 sides as much as I can be,
yet cyclists, and people in motorised scooters are allowed on roads without having to pass any test and without any protection.
We have a old lady 76 at work who has never passed her test, but she thinks nothing of getting on her scooter and going to town on it, on the road ..............every time she goes out we shake our heads because I've seen her at the roundabout trying to turn right in something that goes about 10 miles an hour, up against people in cars, who again like I say have passed tests to try and get on the roundabout.0
