Entrance signage is a MUST otherwise the BPA CoP is breached straight away.

Although don't rely on this alone - POPLA have a very funny idea when it comes to over-ruling invoices based purely on breaking the BPA CoP ( I guess that's because the BPA are the ones PAYING them ! Independent ? MY BACKSIDE ! )

Agreed. But it's more ammunition for the Signage section of the appeal. :)

Signs MAY be within the BPA CoP

    From the BPA CoP
    "
A standard form of entrance sign must be placed at the entrance to the parking area.
There may be reasons why this is impractical:
when there is no clearly defined car park entrance
when the car park is very small
at forecourts in front of shops and petrol filling stations
at parking areas where general parking is not permitted.
If you think there are other circumstances where it is impractical or undesirable to have an entrance sign, you must tell us in advance
and get our approval to amend the sign or not have one"

So yes use it but don't rely on it.
  • Oh I'm starting to get a little worried now. I hope I have enough to get this cancelled as it seems to be on this occasion they've done everything right

Signage is not the cornerstone of your appeal - it's merely something else to keep the PPC occupied and having to defend against. ;)

Nope, they have NOT, but we need to make it a winner so no sending it until we've all chipped in over several days and you have perfected a draft POPLA appeal!

Is there a clear sign at the ENTRANCE to this car park as you drive in? If not, can you get a good evidence photo of the lack of signs there and at other spots in the car park? Post them too!

Hi, Heres the photos of the entrance

Looking at the directional arrows that looks like an exit, or a barrier/gated entrance. Is there anything prior to this specific section?

The left hand side with the closed gate is the entrance, there are no signs at all before what you can see in the picture. Outside of this bit of the carpark are other clamping signs from another company that control the other side of the carpark which belongs to another landowner, but once you go through the gates you can see the PD signs, however there are none at the entrance or directly as you go in the gate as you can see in the photo.
