The theory being they will eventually get bored? Still awaiting letter for the 2nd ticket which I did appeal in time... though I suspect no success in appeal.0
-
Ah, sorry - misread your post, I thought you meant they had sent the latest letter for the 2nd "ticket". In which case do what I have suggested for the first ticket and continue the process you've started for the second one."The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0

Having not seen the letter and just going off gist over phone it appears to be response to letter about first ticket, they state I'm too late and ignored notice to keeper (I didn't as I never got one for the first ticket). As it is too late they are refusing to enter in to conversation with me and demand £80 in the next 14 days...

Please tell her to stop having kittens..!
And errrm...what did you expect as the response? This was purely only ever an exercise to get a response that you can keep just incase you ever had to dust the paperwork off and say (in small claims, very rare and very defendable) what was wrong about it and that you didn't ignore it and are NOT liable.
I wasn't expecting them to play ball, this whole contact was purely to deny liability. The sticky thread I wrote for newbies does explain about your options if too late to appeal and 'robustly responding' is purely an exercise to tell them to sod off, and obviously they were going to reply and say 'no, pay up!' Did you not yet warn her that there will be a pile of junk mail from debt collectors every couple of months now, and no having kittens about junk mail!onepunchmick wrote: »Ok emailed BPA stating I'd had one letter and one email since they were issued. Since then I have had one more letter telling me to pay £80 or else... Britishparking.co.uk have replied BPA – 03693 – G1Y8B7 stating a notice was sent (i didn't get it). The second ticket is at notice to keeper stage. They state no breach has happened and they consider matter closed. Love too how the header of the email shows Biritishparking to be part of liberty printers ltd... handy for those tickets.
Send the latest letter to Steve Clark at the BPA to reopen his 'investigation' because a breach HAS happened and you have never been shown this alleged 'Notice' and require a copy of it at the very least because NO NTK = no case.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Coupon Mad - Thanks as ever. I wasn't expecting anything from them, the fact as ever they send everything second class just underlines how little they want to spend. Letter will be filed with others that I have actually got along with emails.
Got the contacts I made with place of work complaining to them (and as expected got nowhere). So yeah getting a nice little bundle of stuff.
Think she just worries as well I guess to some extent human nature is someone threatens/warns you fight or flight... Talked a load last night and explained what was going on seems calmer.0 -

Already doing this now, ire is up and typing like a loon... well a loon who is reasoned and with well thought out arguments.0 -

I thought she may like to see that thread I linked where the poster said his wife was 'having kittens' about debt collector letters! And tell her I am just an ordinary wife & Mum myself and have laughed at four fake PCNs myself (have to admit my husband had kittens first time around!).PRIVATE 'PCN'? Well... this is going to become a game of he said said..
Contacted British Parking Authority regarding CPP refusing to enter discussions. CPP state they did send a NTK but as it was 2nd class no record of it going/arriving. I didn't receive it so to quote. Unfortunately we are in a difficult position whereby we cannot prove either way and therefore this is something that needs to be resolved between yourself and the operator.
Great except the reason I contacted you was to state CPP wouldn't be entering in to conversation with me... so tempted to now write to CPP stating what BPA have said, and I consider it closed?0 -
Yep write and say the matter is closed because there is no keeper liability where no NTK was served in time. Say that any further contact will be considered harassment. Copy to CPP and to any debt collector which writes.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Right her we go..Civil Parking Notice: ###########
Location: ###########
Dear Sir/Madam,
Regarding letter 3/2/14.
You state you sent a Notice To Keeper regarding the above ticket, I did not receive such a notice. The first I was aware was the Keeper Liability, I Challenged the ticket online using your website.
I then contacted the British Parking Authority for advice regarding the lack of NTK. I have just had word from them that quote:
“Unfortunately we are in a difficult position whereby we cannot prove either way and therefore this is something that needs to be resolved between yourself and the operator. ” - BPA –###########
Now in your letter 3/2/14 you state “CPP Is now not able to accept an appeal and will not enter into any further correspondence”
In which case I now consider the matter closed as no NTK was served in time, any further contact will be considered harassment. Please not copies of this letter will be going to BPA and other interested parties.
And with this may you please get boredI know they won't but I'm starting to enjoy this
