Any news on whether your horse did need the antibiotics? Poor thing
Well done on the payouts, I have so many accounts on survey sites etc, but I usually lose the will to live before I hit a payout! Quite a few are close (I think), so that might be something to try if I ever have some quiet time!
hi EB - unfortunately I did end up going over to my vet and collecting another 5 days worth - I just cant risk it getting any worse - I compete her and need her well soon. So another £36 out the horse emergency fund and I could really do with no more being taken out!
I like My Survey as you can claim £3 as the smallest. I spend a Saturday morning for an hour doing surveys and they soon add up.0 -

Hi MIT - hope you are doing ok x0 -
It is such a lovely day here today - I cant remember my Christmas holidays being this mild for ages and I cant ride
(having a sulk lol) so spending time doing surveys and swagbucks.
Horse antibiotics cost me another £36 which hopefully will be the last. In summer they live out but I still budget a monthly figure that would cover the winter costs and then the surplus builds up - however in winter I use the full budget as there is bedding and hay to buy and so my little emergency fund is starting to look a bit poor! They are insured as I compete them but the excess is quite high to keep premiums down and will cover any big expense should it arise.0 -
Fingers crossed that no more horsey expenses any ti,e soon then LAM5 Year plan. April 2020 to June 2025- CC and mortgage free by time I'm 60

Poor horse, still as you say, you just can't risk it getting worse. Fingers crossed things will be on the mend and your emergency fund can recover. The eventing sounds like great fun though! Closest I have ever got to riding a horse was a donkey on the beach during my childhood :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I think I'm a member of My Survey, I must find my login details and see how much I've got!0 -
I remember riding a horse when younger, the one thing we were told is don't scream, the first thing I did was scream.
I hope your horse is on the mend.
Also going to go looking for logins.0 -
Well weather is awful here today - cold wet and windy - would be nice for a sofa day but I need to go take a family member to a medical appointment and want to bank my £5 of 20 p pennies.
Thankfully horses leg is looking much better today - finally the hole is closing and its starting to knit together. Days like today I think she is glad to be snug in her bedroom.
I have 2 surveys worth 110 points each waiting on my MS - really need to motivate myself to do them before they disappear. Could potentially get another £5 this week as you need 575 points for that and I already have a balance of 112 I think.
Swagbucks is on track for another £5 on the 5th when the bonus points add on.
Want to get my tax return done today as well - I have budgeted for this so hopefully HMRC calcs will match what I think I owe!0 -
poor thing.....sending best wishes for a speedy recovery for your horse - dodgy hugs for it!! :grouphug:
Best of luck for 2014 LAM:beer:
