Fantastic stuff about the PPI compo! Two years is a long time to be kept waiting
I also love those little savings accounts linked to main bank account, they come in handy! Chipping away nicely at the loan aren't you! I'm looking forward to selling a few bits on ebay in the new year to help make some extra payments to chuck at the CC.

Well bring on Christmas! All ready and waiting :)

No further savings or payments made this week - my lovely horse decided to get kicked in the field resulting in a vet bill :( Have told her she will not be getting a Christmas present this year!

Luckily I am at the point where I do have a small emergency fund but could do without the expense none the less. I tried to treat it myself and collected the antibiotics from vet but unfortunately did need a call out in the end.

Hope you all have a lovely Christmas and we will all be back soon to knock this debt on the head :)

Oh no! Hope your poor horse is OK, poor thing :( At least you had an emergency fund in place that covered it. Unexpected expenses like that are never welcome this time of year!

Have a great Christmas if you aren't back on the boards before! Be ready to rock 'n' roll come January! :rotfl:

    Thanks Eyebright.

Right so Christmas is out the way and its about now reality hits of the cost of it all and motivation sets in to start 2014 with debt busting gusto :D

I want to try and pay £40 off my loan before the 1st Jan as then I can start 2014 with a total of £6,600 owing.

I have £5 in my 20p purse so can go bank that, I want to get another £5 from Sw*gbucks so going to spend some time messing about on there and will try and get £5 on surveys - doing nothing this morning as its blowing gales and both my horses are out of action at the moment.

The big girl is 90% mended but small one has gone and lost a shoe - farrier due Tuesday - all budgeted for - my horses have their own bank account - sadly they don't make their own money though :rotfl:

My mum gave me £30 for Christmas but I would really like to spend it on me - need a couple of new blouses for work - so will look at Sainsburys and Tesco later.

Also need to catch up my Adpoints videos for the week.

The Captain has his own bank account too, unfortunately, he's adding a friend to it  So I'll have to pay more once he's home again.

How's the kicked horse doing? Will you have to have the vet back out?

I am hoping not! Last night it looked really good and then this morning I am wondering whether to go pick up some more antibiotics. :( Will go back up after lunch and decide then. Luckily I have a good relationship with my vet - have been through a lot with her over the last 12 years and she will let me go up to her house and collect what I need seeing as she has now seen the leg. I am torn between not wanting to waste any more money and I have heard that antibiotics can slow the healing of the wound and the fact that if it IS still infected I run the risk of it back tracking into the joint :(

Well I had a productive non spending day yesterday - I made £5 on a survey site and requested the paypal payout, I reached my target and some on SB and watched my quota of vids on Adpoints.

Today will not be a NSD as I need bread and milk and possibly antibiotics for the pony child!

Any news on whether your horse did need the antibiotics? Poor thing :(

Well done on the payouts, I have so many accounts on survey sites etc, but I usually lose the will to live before I hit a payout! Quite a few are close (I think), so that might be something to try if I ever have some quiet time!
