Anyhoo, the reason for posting is to say
Merry Christmas everyone, may you get all you wish and hope for and may 2014 be the year of your dreams ]

Natty Awww was wondering how he was.
Valli Well done to both you and DS.
Bit of a catch up day then at my voluntary job. Boss asked if I could go in earlier as new patient computer system is not working properly and patients are having to wait. I can't go earlier plus I was in most of last weekend. I will go in earlier Monday but have to leave early for a memorial service.
Taking some of the xmas day stuff down to DDs. We did food shopping yesterday and it wasn't too bad. Just fresh stuff to get.0 -

couldnt sleep so got up in the middle of the night all socks from wm put on racks in bathroom, and another load in wm, tidied settees etc so it looks reasonable. DH put all the rubbish/recycling out before work. DS2 has gone with the cakes his sister made him they look brill, superman and kryptonite cupcakes for his birthday and a batman cake for the secret santa.
the cakes he iced last night....al i can say is oh dear. they were choc cupcakes which looked fine choc icing was left to him and a couple of girls that appeared with him. i couldnt find an icing bag so told them to use a sarni bag and snip a corner off, could hear them laughing so went through:eek:it looked like a poo on top of each cake, after having a good laugh we decided they looked inedible so quickly forked the icing over and put choc sprinkles on to make them top a bit more palatable, described them to DD3 (the family baker) and shes made us all promise to make clear we made them and not her!:rotfl:
meal with mil was lovely last night, local pub has had a refurb so we thought we'd support them.

Morning all
Lovely to hear good news from Natty and Valli very haappy for you both.
HelenJ I wish you all as peaceful and painfree a Christmas as possible and hope the New Year returns good health to Mr J
DW on, washing up done, just having my toast then off to the shower and off on a few errands before school breaks up at lunchtime. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Morning Flyladies
One more day to struggle through!
Paid stuff this morning, after which I need to head to Ald! and hope for the best  I suspect it'll be horrendous. Once I get home, if I have an ounce of energy left, I need to get the small pile of ironing done and put away and get more washing done and hung; despite emptying the basket yesterday it's full again
Then collect DS2 (early! Mustn't forget that!) and deliver the boys to their dad's for the weekend. DH wants to go out tonight but I'm already baulkingI have too much to do this weekend to spend Saturday in the recovery position.
Mrs M-P, I was :rotfl: at your poo cakes. My niece would love them, she is 10 and thinks toilet humour is the best ever
Off to try and find my repeat prescription request slip, see if I can get my migraine meds topped up before the Big Day.
Love and hugs to all, and a wee scratch behind Olliecat's ears xx0
