  • Another border finished in the garden, we spent a bit on plants a few weeks ago and then reused compost that we had from last year and some Monmouth stone.
Trellis was 're cycled as we didn't like it on the arbor we bought last year. Sil came round and gave us some seed potatoes.

I am feeling know that we are getting there, sadly it took all day so didn't get to marks but will have a go another day.

Went to wait rose but it was absolute pants, the only things that were on offer was two trolleys full of muffins or some chilled cg soup. It was heaving so maybe it's to popular. I will try again another time.

Off to do the money, after watching salvage hunters.

well done on the garden!!:D and boo hiss to waitr*se!!;)

Well done on the bargain shopping :T I never seem to have any luck with the reduced section, in our local te$co it is always empty! I haven't tried M&S yet so might go there on Sunday afternoon. We're supposed to be having a Wait rose store opening in our town soon so that will be another place for me to lurk around, not to mention getting my free coffee too :D:money:

How's the gardening and SW going?

Sorry it's been a long time, life has got in the way of posting.

    I have been shopping today.....

I have 5 events to buy a dress for. So I bought a rather expensive dress for me a few weeks ago. Never normally shop in whistlxs but I was persuaded to go in by recommendation. I'm going to wear it to 4 of the five events and use an existing dress for the other one. The dress is Orange and blue splodges on a navy back ground.

    Today was accessory shopping.

2 handbags one blue, one Orange both discounted in tx max

5 pairs of mss boots all over 60% off. Got a bit carried away:D

1 cardi and 2 dresses discounted.

2 underwear sets not discounted or cheap:eek:

So far have lost 1/2 a stone on sw. So very pleased even my mil made comment.

Garden is still on going :) but it's getting there.

  • Hello
I thought I must post about some money saving instead of spending.

Found some money in an old account which I will shut and transfer onto the mortgage. It's just over £100 so it may save a few pennies in interest.

Our gas provider has sent us an email to say they are reducing our Dr by £10 and refunding £60. I am very pleased as I had already reduced the monthly payments a few months ago.

Another bed has been dug in the garden today and we have a few plants left for the last remaining huge bed. Mum and dad are giving us some plants so fingers crossed it shouldn't take much more money.

Tea was chicken casserole from Jamie's money saving book and was left overs from a roast on Sat.

Well done on the weight loss LGP, I've gone a bit wrong this week, but back on track from now on:o you shopping spree sounds fantastic, I think if you know you are going together a lot of wear out of an outfit it's worth spending a bit more on it.

You've just reminded me that Mr C has an old account with about £100 in that we need to chase up. It's a postal account and we wrote to them last year about closing it and didn't hear anything back...I'll add that to my list of jobs for the day.
