  • Get Real Fool, you have seen my post I'm not getting into what if's

Funny, because this very much sounds like a 'what if' to me!
if challenged in a court of law or the correct authority

May I point out that just because something is in a companies T&C's doesn't make it legal, if challenged in a court of law or the correct authority, they can be deemed excessive and over ruled. I think this would apply if anyone could be that bothered in this case with this company. They are charging nearly twice the original ticket price to print out a boarding card on a sheet of paper , if that isn't extortion I don't know what is ? Its hardly the last word in customer service is it !

Why would a court agree and why is it excessive? Ryanair are saying there is a fee of £70 for a boarding pass at the airport or it's free if you print your own. If you check-in on-line and lose your boarding pass they'll now reprint one for £15.

They are pretty much one of the cheapest airlines going. If you want BA style customer service you'll have to pay for it.
  • I think it is fascinating how sheeple congregate on threads like this to shout "I'm Alright Jack!" and "Don't Talk Rubbish You 0.01% marked for Fools" and "If You Feel Strongly Enough Why Don't You Take It To Court And Test Your Idea?" or "The structure of your assertion could have been better worded if you wished to avoid ridicule"

I don't think sheeple like that can ever be bothered to use their lives to make an improvement in society. I just wonder in fact if they live by any principles other than me me me.

So a black sheep states a contrary position and gets the sheeple all of a tizz.

The tizz is pathetic to witness.

I've been challenged more than once "so why don't you test it in court?"
Some of them have been quite surprised what happened next.

Some of us do our bit.

What do you the rest of you do ? Are you them or us ? This is a consumer interests website. "I'm alright Jack" is simply not an ok mantra to spout on MSE unless it is coupled with "and I can see everyone else is too and no-one is adversely affected".
From the late great Tommy Cooper: "He said 'I'm going to chop off the bottom of one of your trouser legs and put it in a library.' I thought 'That's a turn-up for the books.' "

Black sheep started with insults, so when people start using nasty terms they often have sheeple of tizz. If he had not used the fool term it would have probsbly gone unnoticed.

It may be a consumer website, but its got to be realistic.

I have to say my experience with Ryanair was enough that I'd now rather walk. Thankfully EasyJet have opened a suitable route, less problematic from experience and at least don't treat customers with open contempt.

I won't travel with any airline that treats me with contempt .... and neither should anyone else-However my experiences of Ryanair are they treated me with courtesy and delivered what they promised -a flight on time both ways with civil if not stellar staff .........In what way were you treated with contempt ? (insisting you follow the published t&c of course don't count -this is a thread for grown ups not petulant children )

Use ryanair a lot, and have never had any problems with them, but then again i know how to read what the rules are, and what's more, actually abide by them:)

Seems almost like an alien concept to some people though :rotfl

If you fly with them a lot then you find out about these things. I do not fly with them that often so could fall foul of some of these petty charges if I did not take my time and print out everything just in case.
It's really easy to default to cynicism these days, since you are almost always certain to be right.

People can't be grouped, they all have their individual views and comments. Those who use the word "sheeple" risk looking as though they think their views are somehow morally or intellectually superior to others.

I am a regular flyer with Ryan Air and to be honest I have never had a problem. I know their t&cs, I print off my boarding pass, I send myself an email copy of my boarding pass as an added precaution.

In departure lounge waiting to board flight to Dublin guy in front of me presented his boarding pass to be checked. Girl at the gate pointed out of him that because he had printed his outward and return boarding passes back to back, he had better try to reprint the pass for the return journey!!! I know he was obviously trying to save paper but ........

I dont understand why all these people are jumping to the defence of that offensive, arrogant company.

I personally don't like Ryan Air and would never fly with them and this kind of penny-chiselling is one of the exact reasons why.

However, they don't exactly make a secret of their ways, so I would still agree with those who say they are not ripping people off.
