This sentence basically says Christmas is not special, magical, or exciting without santa, I offered an example of how Christmas can be special AND exciting (though not magical) without santa, if you believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Maybe re-read some of your posts ;).

    No, it really doesn't.

    Everywhere where?

I've not avoided anything but DD genuinely doesn't know who he is or what he's meant to do (and she's a very bright child).

    Does she go to nursery?

    Nevermind, its been answered.

    Just give it time!

I found that quite funny considering your sig :p
    Why?
There is no santa in my signature.

Well that's how it reads to me, not sure about others.
Maybe you need to read it back, again.

My son was not allowed to watch some of the programmes his friends watched as we did not consider them suitable. That's responsible parenting, you don't let them chose, you chose.

    Yes, me too.

My eldest son has never got over not being allowed to go and see the movie Austin powers "The spy who shagged me";) Apparently he was the only one not allowed to go!! He survived.

I didn't think that would get past the MSE censor!

Quite. My 6 yo wants to play video games that involve shooting & violence, some of his friends are either allowed or have older siblings who do & he hears all about how awesome they are.

I would never dream of allowing him to make that choice himself or when he wants to stay up past bedtime & he has school next day.

Sure, I could let him make the choice to stay up till ten but then he would be in a bad mood, tired & unable to concentrate at school.

But I don't, I make the choice for him.

I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

What I mean is, I understand what you think it says, all I am suggesting is you might see how I can read it as I do.
    Anyway, enough about one line.
