My last car was a VW financed through VW finance lease. The payments came out by direct debit around the middle of the month. I swapped cars last weekend and the direct debit for the new car has not appeared on my bank account yet. However I decided yesterday to cancel the direct debit for my old car because I didn't want to have £300 come out of my account and then have the hassle of getting it back again. But now I'm worried I made a mistake of cancelling the old direct debit when the new one isn't there yet. The salesman told me that it's treated as a completely separate agreement to the old one. But surely the new direct debit should be showing on my bank account by now? I'm worried I will get penalised for late payment and that this could affect my credit rating. My husband says the new direct debit will appear in my account any day now but I'm worried it hadn't yet. Could anyone advise please?
I think your best bet is to give them a call tomorrow and ask. At least then if it was a mistake to cancel the old one (which I doubt it was) you can iron things out quickly.£12k in 2019 #084 £3000/£3000

I know its march now but have just found this and would like to join. I have been saving up but would be great to see it in a table and the table is really cool how it tracks how you are doing. I cant save 12k so want to set a smaller amount but hope I can get to it as doing well so far but maybe this will help too.0

Finally worked out my February total (I had been putting it off as I knew it would be disappointing as had a large unexpected expense in Feb) and it's £825.
I suppose it's not bad considering I had to pay out an unexpected £330 odd. But it just annoys me that I could have done so much better! Oh well onwards and upwards!
Well done to all so far - everyone's doing so well! :T0 -
£350 paid into my regular savers today to kick start March. Got a weeks holiday snowboarding later this month, so not sure how much I will be able to add to it. Might have a sort out and see what can be put on eBay.
I'm due an upgrade on my mobile in 3 weeks. Planning to switch to a sim only deal and reduce my monthly bill from £45 to £13. A decent saving for very little effort!0 -

I had to take my dog to the Vet yesterday which cost me £80, thankfully it's not too serious though.
I'm using the rest of my holidays from work this week so I've decided to look into investing in shares0 -
